One Bad Deed

The idea of redemption is very complicated. Can you make up for a bad deed by doing good? and who is to say when you have righted that wrong? I personally think that weather good can undo bad depends on the mindset of the person. If a person does wrong in the ignorance and inexperience of their youth or in the heat or passion of a moment, and they truly feel sorry for their crime, they should not be forced to pay for it their entire life. It does not subtract from the fact that what they might of done was wrong but there needs to be a way for them to make it right with themselves. That is life you make a mistake, you learn from it, you fix it, you move on. But there are also people for whom their good deeds do not make up for their bad. If you go into a situation saying, i know that what i am going to do is bad but i will make it right later, then i don't feel that they deserve to be absolved of those sins. If you go into something with that mindset then you aren't learning anything, which is what makes a mistake all right. When Arthur killed all of those children he made a mistake and learned from it and spent the rest of his life trying to make up for it, because of this be became a better king and did many great things for England making him an overall positive force on the universe. By saying that you will do good later then you are not being sincere in those acts, the good deeds become a requirement not something you want to do. But when you regret your crimes and try to earn redemption then it shows that you want to have a positive effect on the world and so should be forgiven by society.
