Censorship

It is hard to say that censorship is either good or bad because their are so many different types of censorship. Some can be useful and others can lead to debates.
Censorship can be very useful when used in music or TV because I do not especially like hearing swear words. Also the gory parts in movies should be censored because I do not want to see that!! However, other people have different opinions about this. They may feel that lfe shold be portrayed in movies as it would be in real life, so these things should not be censored. So, it is hard to please everyone. Maybe there should be a censored version and an uncensored version.
With books, none should be censored. People should decide what they want to read. There should be warning, but people should have the right to read anything they wish.
The swear words are not as big of a topic as religion or politics. In my opinion, people should be allowed to hear as much as they want to hear, within reason (obviously if there is a confidential political issue, the public should not know about it until they are ready). Politics should be posted on television, and if people wish to watch and hear about the issues that is there choice. Religion should be optional too. I think that when someone is in a place where everyone has similar beliefs things should not be censored(church), but when a person is in a place where everyone has different beliefs, things should be censored(school).
Censorship should be decided from a person who likes censorship and someone who doesn't. In other words, two different kinds of people should comprimise on what should be allowed and what shouldn't.
Overall, I think that people should be allowed to decide what they want to see or hear. Everyone should have the right hear all opinions an make their own opinions.
