Are politicians people?

Traditionally, politicians in our country have been looked to as leaders and heroes in our country. Because of this, people look into their lives as much as they can. This causes them to have their private lives exposed to the public, which must be extremely annoying. A private life means just that, a PRIVATE life, one that you can keeep to yourself and not have everyone know about it. A public life, however, is what politicians shold be judged on. Their behavior in public, their political actions, their job, and that sort of thing should decide what politicians are viewed as.
What spitzer did, however, is different. Not only was it illegeal and immoral, but it was also a horrible decision, seeing as the whole state looks to him as a leader. prostitution is illegal, though, and it shouldn't just be the politicians that are arrested for it. tons of people aare involveed in prostituion every day, but it's only the politicakl figures that are arrested for it. political figures shold be treated to the same judgement that average joes get, and in this case, that means arresting everyone involveed in prostitution or letting spitzer go. this is a serious problem with our justice system here. what i really hope our new governer will do is fix this sort of thing.
