In my opinion, leaders should be people that we can look up to. They set an example for the people, but they should have a personal life. The life with their family is what no one else needs to know about. It is none of their concern. But we do need to know that they are doing legal things and seem as though they are a good person. This also comes into play. Some boundaries were broken involving the Spitzer scandal. The facts should have been completely figured out instead of everybody jumping to conclusions.
Spitzer deffinantly did a bad thing. You learn from your mistakes, but this one was a doozy. This information needed to be released to the public. The people of New York are now feeling sympathy for Spitzer's wife and family. We ask ourselves why he would cheat on his wife, risk his job, his marrage, his children's trust and his people's trust for a prostitute.
This topic is touchy and confusing. I think that in the end, it is good that Spitzer resigned because what he did was illegal. I still think people can look up to him. This is just one bad thing among many good things. If people like his views and his actions involving politics, then Spitzer's sex scandal should not effect them. :]]]]
