Verse

Wow, that quotation was amazing. It's so true too. I mean, people who write poetry just because they want to be cute is redicoulous (I know, spelling...), to write poetry and really mean what you write is another thing. I used to think I poetry needed to rhyme, or else it was not considered poetry. That was until I started writing from my heart. Now I write about the things that I'm feeling and the people and things that make me happy, and sad, in the deepest part of me. Do I like my poetry to rhyme? Absolutely. But it is not a necessity (I know, spelling...). I believe that poetry is a way to express the way you feel about something that puts no limit on your feelings. If that makes any sense. I mean, sure, you can vent something out by screaming, but how far does that get you? A sore throat and angry parents. Poetry and song-writing make your feelings easier to express how you feel (sorry, no other word would really work there), and you can use metaphors so you can make it look like something on the outside, but have deeper feelings and emotions under the words.

This is a poem I have been writing. I put it on my project over the summer, ( I forget the name of it.... WAIT, I LIED...) self expression, that's the one! I never read it out loud in class, cause I thought it was bad. I guess you will have to see now for yourself...

Life’s Too Short
Life's too short, to say the least,
You've got to roll with the punches and take the heat,
Not be so uptight with the littlest things,
Be more happy with the little wonders life brings,
Just be happy with what you have,
Count your blessings and don't be so sad,
You could be sick or be getting beat,
Or you could be living out there on the street,

Be happy that you have friends who care,
And you're right sometimes life isn't fair,
But don’t take for granted every day you're alive,
You could wake up every morning struggling to survive,
To understand that your days here are numbered,
To have to bear all of the weight you've encumbered,

So please do not tell me that you’re sick of life,
Be happy for all of your laughter and strife,
Because life's too short, to say the least,
You've got to roll with the punches, and keep the beat.

I wrote that because I have a friend who is dying because of something that he can't control, and he makes the best out of every day life gives him. Some people find him rather intimidating, but that's just the way he is. He doesn't feel sorry for people who don't deserve to be pitied. I think because I understand why, I wrote this. Things could be worse, and remember that there is always someone out there worse off then you.

Poetry of Life

Pretty much, I think this quote is one of the coolest I have ever read. I mean, I see quotes a lot. Some catch my eye, some don't. Some speak to me, some don't. Usually, even if I don't like the quote so much, I sit back and I think about it. Maybe I read it outloud, mumble it a bit to myself... break it apart. This one just flows.

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion." It's true. We don't do it because it's cute (well, I don't anyway. If I thought it was cute, I would have gotten all the dudes long ago... kidding). We do it because we want people to see things from different points of view. We do it so we can get out our ideas on everything so we can just live in the moment, live for the passion.

"But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for." It's true. I believe in true love. That may sound really corny and totally off topic, but it's totally true. True love is one thing that we live for. Just finding that one person that can make our world shine. That's what I want. There's beauty in everything. When I get sad, I try to find the beauty in something to focus all my energy on. Last night, I was riding in the car and I just looked into the sky and watched. I wasn't watching for anything in particular, it just sort of fit with the music. It's just that stars calm me down. ("It's just that pretending calms me down"-A Softer World) If you find something that's pretty (not just some boy or girl) and really focus on it, you forget about everything that's wrong. Or, I do anyway.

"That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse." Wake up. Figure out that you can change something. I would talk to my friends about something that would happen in Iraq or Uganda and they would just look at me and not even have an ounce of emotion. I would ask them why. They would say, "Because I don't like getting myself depressed about things that have nothing to do with me." Seriously? It has everything to do with you. You shouldn't just worry about what's going on right outside your door.

Pretty much my life goals aren't to get famous. They're not to be a billionaire. I just want to be happy that I'm alive. All those little moments when you're a teenager where you know where you are, you know who you are and you know what you're doing... I want that when I'm fifty. Writing a best seller novel would be kick arse too. I also want to make a difference. Genocide needs to stop. Right now. Just stop killing your own people. That would be pretty good too.

(So this isn't a "verse" persay... but it sums up everything that being alive for me... currently... is about. It may be lame and no one may read it because it's by Pete Wentz, but no one really gives him credit for how intelligent and original he is. Everyone just thinks he's a hawtee. Check out the inside before the outside.)
"Here's to the kids. The kids who would rather spend their night with a bottle of whiskey & Patrick or Sonny playing on their headphones than go to some vomit-stained high school party. Here's to the kids whose 11:11 wish was wasted on one person who will never be there for them. Here's to the kids whose idea of a good night is sitting on the hood of a car, watching the stars. Here's to the kids who never were too good at life, but still were wicked cool. Here's to the kids who listened to Fall Out Boy and Hawthorne Heights before they were on MTV...and blame MTV for ruining their life. Here's to the kids who care more about the music then the haircuts. Here's to the kids who have crushes on a stupid lush. Here's to the kids who hum "A Little Less 16 Candles A Little More Touch Me" when they're stuck home, dateless, on a Saturday night. Here's to the kids who have ever had a broken heart from someone who didn't even know they existed. Here's to the kids who have read The Perks of Being A Wall Flower & didn't feel so alone after doing so. Here's to the kids who spend their days in photobooths with their best friend. Here's to the kids who are straight up smartasses & just don't care. Here's to the kids who speak their mind. Here's to the kids who consider screamo their lullaby for going to sleep. Here's to the kids who second-guess themselves on everything they do. Here's to the kids who will never have 100 percent confidence in anything they do, and to the kids who are okay with that. Here's to the kids. This one's not for the kids, who always get what they want, But for the ones who never had it at all. It's not for the ones who never got caught, But for the ones who always try and fall. This one's for the kids who didnt make it, We were the kids who never made it. The Overcast girls and the Underdog Boys. Not for the kids who had all their joys. This one's for the kids who never faked it. We're the kids who didn't make it. They say "Breaking hearts is what we do best," And, "We'll make your heart be ripped of your chest" The only heart that I broke was mine, When I got My Hopes up too too high. We were the kids who didnt make it. We are the kids who never made it." (here's to us)"-Pete Wentz

my verse...

Why were we placed
upon this hard dreary rock
just sitting here
going in circles?

Do I have meaning?
Why should I be dreaming?
I am just mortal;
it all ends.

Whatever I do
may make some dent
on someone, somewhere,
somehow.

But there mortal to!
Nothing I do will ever truly last.
I'm a mortal talking
to mortals.

This is the attitude
of many a person
living for who?
just themselves.

I am differrent however;
I'm different forever!
I don't live for me
and my pleasure.

I am a Christian;
a follower of Christ!
I have purpose:
a reason to live!

There is something much bigger
than any of us.
Something our minds
can barely grasp.

An almighty God
who feels and loves
who wants us;
who longs to draws us close.

I'm living for Him
not myself anymore
no one else has
what He gives.

I know when I die
it is not a goodbye
but hello to
a brand new life.

So for now I'll just try
to honor Him
and not I
and with all my strength
put Him first.

I think poems have alot of meaning and even if you don't see it at first once you think alot about it then you understand a new meaning or something else in it you didn't know was there. My goals are to finish high school with good grades then to go to a good college and finish. Then I would like to get a job. I used to always want to be a hairdresser since I was in first grade and I remember making a story on what we wanted to be. So, since then I wanted to be a hairdresser and have my own buissness doing that along with nails there too. But now I am starting to think maybe I should do something else instead like something that would help people or animals. I like writing poetry and I wrote one about my grandma when she died last month. It was about memories with her.

Melissa Roff

Throughout my life i want to make a difference. I don't just want to be happy and carefree, settling for whatever people tell me. I want to always be striving to change or make something better. Never to be satisfied with something that could become greater or be fixed. Who knows why I am here on Earth but I am here for a reason, everybody is. Maybe i will find the cure for cancer, or maybe you might. I could start the end of all wars, somehow who knows or i can make a difference in ending homelessness or global warming. Maybe this english environmental project will inspire me to continue making that problem or other problems better. I may just be a drop of water in the ocean, but i'll make a ripple.

the verses of life

The general population is totaly busy and stressed over there lives. When somebody falls or drops something all over the floor, 1 out of 10 people would stop and help the person pick up or help them in there time of need. More people in small towns will help out people, but in big citys like NYC, the odds of somebody helping someone is very slim. Everyone thinks "well sombody else will get it." i know your probably like were is she going with this? Emily Dickensons poem "If I could stop one heart from breaking" sums it up.

Selected Poems by Emily Dickinson -
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto its nest
I shall not live in vain.

So if the world was one big poem and everything and everyone had a verse, I think that one would be mine. When we had to do the summer reading project when you had to pick 3 poems and do a project about yourself, this was one of the poems I used and I think it goes well with this topic. I wish/ want my life to represent this in the society that we live in. Its important that somebody is there who cares for people and who can actually help someone rather than always think about themselves.
I think this quote is saying how the world is just like one big puzzle, or poem, and each human being on it contributes to the entire thing. Every single job, relates to other people and other jobs and the world would not work as well if all people didnt do what their supposed to do. Also, we do things because they have meaning not just for no particular reason. Poetry and writing can give people inspiration to do the things they do. Poetry is also like an escape from the the insane amount of things that people these days are doing.

All Paths Lead To You

Life is a challenge – meet it.
Life is a gift – accept it.
Life is an adventure – dare it.
Life is a sorrow – overcome it.
Life is a tragedy – face it.
Life is a duty – perform it.
Life is a game – play it.
Life is a mystery – unfold it.
Life is a song – sing it.
Life is an opportunity – take it.
Life is a journey – complete it.
Life is a promise – fulfill it.
Life is a love – embrace it.
Life is a beauty – praise it.
Life is a spirit – release it.
Life is a struggle – fight it.
Life is a puzzle – solve it.
Life is a goal – achieve it.
-Kat Mercado

This poem sums up what we should work for in life. When your faced with a challenge, find out a way to overcome it. You should love the life you live because it is a gift. Take the adventures and don't let sorrow bring you down. Do what you have to do but always have fun, ask questions. Don't let good oppurtunities pass and go for the things you want. Appreciate the love and beauty in the world, take the good with the bad and fight the pain. Work together, and acheive everything you want to in life. You only live once, so make your life a good one.

Life in a Limmerick

I’ll enjoy my life, in mirth I will soak
I won’t, I say, fret ‘bout death, or being broke
Because after all is done
After all the fun
Eventually, we’ll all croak

Verse

I love to write. When i'm writing something, i always take a while to plan out what i'm doing. I'm still deciding what my verse will be like. But i know that i definitely want to write one. My goal is to leave a mark on the world, something that i'll be remembered for, even if it's just a small thing. I often think about the kind of verse i would write, about what i could add to the world. I fantasize about the other kinds of lives i could lead other than the one i've always known. Sometimes i think about the world's problems, and i try to find where they come from. It's hard to know because there are so many different ways to change things or improve things, or just to leave something behind. It depends on what i want to do. A lot of the time i think about what if i was a president, or some kind of leader. That would be a good way to make a difference, but first i have to consider what needs to be done and how and why. For a lot of the issues i see, the solution to the problem lies at the individual level. What could really change things is if every one made small changes to their lives. So i'm still contemplating my verse.

My Verse

I am not a poem writer so instead I found three peoms that say what I feel:
Precious Children
All Children are precious,
Eager eyes, willing ears,
Lovingly nestle to be near,
Waiting patiently, a tale to hear,
All Children are precious
Charles Garcia

Children

Children love, they laugh, they care.
Children, bless them, they know how to share.
Children try hard to be what you want,
Sometimes they can't and they start
To cry, that's when a hug or a
Kiss is the tool, no not a spanking
That's not the rule.
Children do good and children do bad,
Children are happy and children are sad.
Children must walk before they Can run,
all of us wake to the
Bright morning sun.
So cherish the children these
Treasures from God, for without
Them the Earth would be nothing
But water and sod.

Tiny Teachers

If we looked to our children,
So simple and pure.
If we looked to our children,
We could learn so much more.
If we looked to our children,
We could rise above.
If we looked to our children,
We could learn how to love.
If we looked to our children,
We could find a way to be free.
If we looked to our children,
We could learn how to see.
If we looked to our children,
Without being so stern.
If we looked to our children,
How much we could learn.
Cindy Kocsis
So, I guess I am most passionate about children. They always make me smile and are not afraid of what others think of them and what they look like or say for the most part. They are not afraid to diagree and voice their opinion even if it is about sharing their blocks or eating their broccoli.

I am not positively sure of what I am going to to when I get oler, but I am pretty sure that I want to work with children. I want to teach them about the world and educate them so that they can eventually lead our world. Even though they probably teach the adults more than the adults teach the children.

I think that choldren are pretty amazing and I could just sit and watch them all of the time. I am always looking for excuses to go over to my neighbors house, where there is a 7-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. They are both very smart and are interesting to watch.
They will jump and laugh when they are happy and kick and scream at each other when they are upset. The girl will sing out, not afraid of me or her mom hearing her child voice. The boy will push around his sister's stroller, not caring that it is a "girl's toy"...even though he may not know this.

I also see the child's way of exprssing themselves at my church when all of the children go up for the "Children's Time" because all of the kids will...at one time or another) voice their opinion. They are not shy to take the stage and speak out.

I wish that everyone was like a children in that they voice their opinion. I do know that sometimes this can lead to contraversy, but I also know that other times it can lead to discussions and changes. I have friends who will just simply go along with everyone else and nicely agree even if they wish to say something else. These same friends will become angry with me that I disagreed with them and spoke out against them. Ovbiously they will not say things to my face so nothing ever gets resolved. I would rather get into a fight and talk about things than have to think about what happened the day before everytime I see them.

So, to sum it all up, my opinion is that everyone should have a voice and say what they feel, not just repeat what others say. They should be truthful, kind of how children are. (I am not trying to say that we should act like children with temper tantrums and jumping up and down when we are excited. But, we should live life to the fullest and speak out with what we have to say.) I think that children are very important to our society because after all, they are our future generation.

Verses

If i could write a verse to a poem that could change the way people think, it would be one that would make people look deep inside themselves an find out who they really are. Im so tired of people thinking that they know who they are, and it is completely not. I am sick of people being fake, people need to find out who they are and be that person, we are how we are for a reason. my poem would make people really think about the way they live, act, and treat others. maybe the kids whoo are big "tough guy" who think they can do whatever they want will realize this isnt who they really dont want to be like that. Or maybe kids who are very smart but choose not to use thier intelligence because of fear to be picked on for beeing "the smart kid", will realize thats dumb, these kids can be our future scientists. this could really help change the world because people can miss out on oppurtunities to really do good in life, just because they dont know who they really are. A new generation of kids who really know who they are, can help make the future a better place.

Verses

If I could write a verse that would change the world, It would have to be about curing many severe diseases. My grandma has Alzheimer's, and My Grandfather died of Cancer when he was 56. Many diseases have taken a severe focus in my life. I think that Alzheimer's disease is very cruel because when you get it, you start to lose all your motor functions, and you lose your memeroy, and pretty soon you can't walk or talk, or even remember what you had for dinner yesterday. The only thing that you can remember is what happened whe you were really young. Cancer is also really bad, but it is not as cruel as Alzheimers. I think that if i could create a cure for Alzheimer's and Cancer, I could destroy a lot of sadness and greif in the world. When you think about how many families are affected by Alzheimers or Cancer, it could make a huge difference in the world. Many of the people that lose somebody loved at a young age are traumatized for a long time. i think that if i could eliminate those diseases from the world, the world would be a lot better place. Myself alone i have 2 people in my family that have or had the disease already. So, many diseases take a huge toll in everybody's daily life. and even if you are lucky enough to have no one in your family that has one of these diseases, you know someone that does have a disease.

Peace,
Christian

My Verse

My verse in life is one that I do now think can be described, and right now, is simply a dream. I believe that the world is unsalvageable and that any attempt to do so is futile. It might have been once, but we have so polluted and destroyed the environment that such a feat is no longer possible. Human nature of greed and selfishness has destroyed the possibility of such an outcome. Personally I think that animals could adapt and its probably a good thing that we will be gone. We are a but blip in the lifespan of the earth but we, through the very nature of our being, this beast, has conquered that which many in the past have wondered upon and thought to be the equivalence of eternity, an unconquerable and malevolent creation, the Earth. In this downward spiral I feel like I must contribute to the change. I must maximize the lives of people so they can exist a lifetime in a few years. The walls of society must be torn down, for they are merely representatives of human hatred. Countries differentiate themselves, while they are merely immaterial and creations of thought. Things such as religion hold sway over people and have killed millions, while in reality, they mean nothing different from each other. All must embrace each other and help make what time left the best possible. Money, society, and all “political correctness” must be thrown aside in a bloody heap and all must work towards the goal of improving the individual, and those around them. No one should have to do anything they don’t want to after all options are presented to them. Only when this happens and morality is allowed to sort itself out, will human nature be defeated and before we hit oblivion, a peace will be reached(allusion to TKAM). In this big picture I simply wish to enjoy my life and help others enjoy theirs. Maybe even hope to be a catalyst in these events.

There are many things going wrong with the world of today. There is world hunger, sickness, poverty. Planet earth itself is even sick. The human race is polluting and destroying our plantet without care. There is so many possibilties to fix these problems. The world peom of 2007 is incredibly sad. The little world peace we have in this world prevents the coming together of nations to help solve these world problems. Global warming is problem not justinvloving the united states or any specific nation but the entire world. We all live on and are responsible for the future of the planet. If the wars of the world ended the brain storming of hundreds of countries and billions of people would take place. With the money the U.S. is spending alone on the War with Iraq and afganistan the untied sates could convert all registered vehicals to run on ethinal, a idea that would cut emmisions astrnomicaly. if there is one thing i know i will praticipate in the the future, it will be to help prevent this planet from spiral even further downhill then it already is. That is my verse.

Life's Hard.

Life hard, yes hard. But how do you explain hard?

Hard~ something you do when you don't want to but have to
something that seems impossible but really is only a thought away

So really hard doesn't exist unless you make it ...... so how do you make it hard?

To make something hard~being lazy and not doing it right the first time
not having the determination to do it
OR
not doing it at all then having to explain becomes the hard part

Life
By Caitlin Hurley

You'd think life would be easy. With nothing butLife to live, work to do, school to go to,But people make everything so difficult.Maybe if Hercules was here to saveThe world from pain and loss it wouldn't beSo bad. Why must people live on other's pain?Take their souls and hurt them beyond redemption? Why must we take our lives for granted andForget to live? Maybe life is too hard.Maybe our reason for living is not toLive. Who knows. We all end face up in theGround to look up at heaven and see the stars. So maybe they only wait for death to takeThem. Why do people forget to dance the dance?Afraid to miss a step and fall into theShadows of the abyss? Afraid to live a lifeAnd then lose it all to one misstep andFall to nothing and disappear. Tell me whyLife is so hard, so full of pain, so fullOf hurt. Tell me why we forget to live.

Life is hard if you make it hard.

My Piece in the Puzzle

This quote means to me that all people are connected like stanzas in a poem, a verse of a song, or a piece in a puzzle. All of them are different, and some of them look or sound better then others, but by themselves they are meaningless. It is only when they are pieced together that they are significant.

I believe that everyone has the ability to shape their verse to decide how they fit in with others' and how they will contribute to the over all poem. well everyone includes me so this is what i want my verse to be like (i will write it regularly now and probably make it poetic later). i want to be able to express myself and make people think, to ponder, to question, to laugh, to enjoy life. how i intend to do this i still dont know exactly. Writing, singing, acting i dont care i love all of them, prefferably something that pays fairly well because i cant make people think if i am dead or lying in a gutter. i also like to be noticed. i know it sounds self centered but what can i say, i have alwaysed enjoyed the limelight. i also want to help spread tolorence because i hate those who are intollorent of others for no good reason (yay hypocracy!).

Langston Hughes once wrote a poem entitled Moto (see bottom of post) . this was his verse in the poem. i hope that i will be able to phrase mine as articulately and sesinktly as he does but for now i will have to be a bit wordy.

Motto

I play it cool
And dig all jive.
That’s the reason
I stay alive.
My motto,
As I live and learn,
is:
Dig And Be Dug
In Return.

poetry...

If I had a verse in a poem it would be very calm and relaxing. I dont really obsses over a lot of things and I am very laid back. It would probably be about all of things going on with poverty. Thre are so many poor people in the world and I hate to see people unhappy. I would like to do something to help that. I would donate money and do charity work to help people. I know not everything in the world can have a "once upon a time" beggining or a fairy tale ending but there are possibilities to improve the many problems of society. Peolple arent doing enough to help the people that really need it. We dont realize how much we have until we see people that dont have it. There are some people that cant even afford to stay in a warm shelter for the night. Some people are doing the right thing and helping out these people by giving them food and shelter, but there could be so many more. If I were to help people in need I would feel like I have accomplished something big. I have done something to help other people and maybe even made someone much happier. It is easy to enjoy life and be happy when you have everything you hope for, but when you dont have even the things you need to survive than it makes it much harder. Help make someones day and dont just forget about the people that are less fortunate than you, especially during the holiday season. Give gifts to people that cant afford them, feed people the Christmas dinner they have always hoped for, and let them know that someone cares about them.

poem

The verse that i would contribute to the poem would be about understanding people better. I dont think people know enough about cultures other than there own. It always seems as if people dont care about the rest of the world unless its something bad like a war. I want to help people learn about other culture because if we know more about people that live in cultures that are differeent than are own we could get along with them better. For example, in school if you dont really know anything about someone, you probably wouldnt like or care about them. But, if you took the time to get to know them you could become friends. So, i think that if we got to know other cultures better the world would be a better place. I also think that if everyone got along better than we could really do something to help the environment, because its everyones planet so we would need everyone to work together in order to save it. One of my goals is to help myself and others experience and learn more about the rest of the world.

Life is a roller coaster. At times life may be fun and exiting, full of joy and good times. At others..not so much, the hard times will come the hard times will last, but keep going don't stop because life his hard, but at the other side of the hardship is the "fun and exciting, full of joy and good times."
In Life every one should set goals or standards for themselves, if you goof up that's alright though just be sure to get up, shake it of, and keep on going. In life you will have hard times, and obstacles that will try to stop you from accomplishing your goals, but the key is to over come these obstacles..."If your going through hell keep on going cause you might get out before the devil even knows your there" this is a quote from the song going through hell by Rodney Atkins.
My goal in life is to be the best person that I can be . And to live a full life with accomplishments that can help change the world (in good ways) in ways that people never even imagined.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

This quote's meaning, i think, is kind of similar to the quote "all the world's a stage, and all the men and women are players." Both of them are saying that everyone in this world has a part to contribute to the world; the "play" cannot function without the full effort of everyone in the world. it also means that everyone has a passion for certain things in life and that they must use this passion to make the world a better place.
If everyone must contribute, that includes myself. I must use my passion for things in life to make the world a better place. I must input my "verse," and, in doing that, contribute to the grand scheme of things. My verse, my input, my part is determined by what I have passion for. Some of these things are my faith, fair treatment of everyone ("all men are born equal"), and making life easier for the common man (and woman) without causing the earth to decay. I also have a passion to think, to ponder, to wonder, to marvel at, to examine all the things of the world, and notice, What is wrong and what is right? What is good and what is not? What should be and what should not? By using my passion for these things, I can contribute to the world an environmentalist, an engineer, a philosopher, a poet, a thinker, an actor, a player! I can contribute myself, my passion for morality, my love for art.
I hope to be able to use my passion for all of these things to be able to make the world a better place. I hope to become an actor, so I can realy express myself the way I prefer. If that doesn't work however, I would like to beome an engineer or architect, so I could make life easier for the common man. I would love to be able to make dthe man enjoy life, have liberty, and be alloweda chance to pursue happiness.

I am a painter with a pen.

"The test of literature is, I suppose, whether we ourselves live more intensly for the reading of it."

I am an artist, a painter.
My pen is my brush, the empty page is my easel containing whole worlds and universes,
Everything from the dust on my typewriter to the vast openness of the sky.
Pen brushes page, creating pictures in the form of avid adventures and captivating chronicles.
My spine tingles with the rush of thought, the pen itching in my hand.
Rush, write, relax, repeat, rush, write, relax, repeat.
I am an artist.
I am a painter with a pen.

Taunted, haunted,
Troubled, hurt,
But she doesn't feel it.
Laughed at, pointed at,
Talked about behind raised hands,
But she doesn't see it.
Her mind is back with her keys.
Her eyes see in between the lines,
In between the lies.
She looks at the sky and she sees opportunity.
She looks at the ground and sees a new place to tread on, to think on.
She may not have what the others do,
Ignorant bliss, hidden from truth.
She may not jump around on the swingset
Or play King of the Mountain on the slide,
Bt she will never be alone.
She will always have her keys.

The Poets

O ye dead Poets, who are living still
Immortal in your verse, though life be fled,
And ye, O living Poets, who are dead
Though ye are living, if neglect can kill,
Tell me if in the darkest hours of ill,
With drops of anguish falling fast and red
From the sharp crown of thorns upon your head,
Ye were not glad your errand to fulfil?
Yes; for the gift and ministry of Song
Have something in them so divinely sweet,
It can assuage the bitterness of wrong;
Not in the clamor of the crowded street,
Not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng,
But in ourselves, are triumph and defeat.

-by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

If you haven't guessed yet, my ultimate passion is writing. I love to write, I live to recount my tales to the world. I never go anywhere without a pen and a notebook. At dinner, my parents will yell at me for not paying attention or being unsocial, but I barely ever hear them as I scratch ideas onto napkins.
Life is short. I know that, and I try to live like it. I don't mean being totally paranoid that the whole world could blow up tomorrow, as one of my favorite quotes states: "The world isn't going to end today...it's already tomorrow in Australia!" I try to live because I only have one shot at this world. I want to do something great, not necessarily something big. Something I will be proud of. I try not to stress about things too much; I meditate daily and keep a journal to sort out my thoughts. So what if I fail a quiz? On the grand scheme of things, it isn't all that important. Life is worth living. What to live for, that's different for everyone. For me, it's for writing. That's what the quote at the beginning of this post means, really. It really describes me, and writers and reading altogether.
I write to speak. I speak out, question, and contradict. Without my pen and paper and keys, I wouldn't be saying much at all. Not that I'm not loud and outspoken...*cough cough*
I know I'm writing kind of strangely right now--I have a lot of ideas and I'm just putting them down, I'm not really sorting them out. So it may seem like I'm ending kind of choppily. But I think I've said everything I wanted to say. At least, I hope so. D:

Hard

If I was a verse in the poem I would be the part to sustain life. I would be this part because I do not want to die or anyone to die that doesn’t have. An example of someone dyeing when they don’t have to is when they are first born they do not have do they were just born they have not even said hi to the world before they were taken from it again. I would like to change this because this just kills parents to have a child then loss it faster then they had it. This has happened to my aunt and uncle it was extremely said because he died before they could even take him home. I would want to change this because then no one would have to die immaturely.

The Purpose Of Lifeeee =]

The quote that was staded seems as if it is correct in my opinion.
I feel passionatly about love because it can withstand anything. I think that it is the strongest thing that we have in the world. Love is in relationships, romances, friendships, families and in every person there is love. So, it's pretty important.
I think the meaning of life is to be happy and make others happy also. I like to share the joy. I like being a very positive and outgoing person because having those qualities gives me the ability to make someone smile, which I like. Passion, happiness and love all go together. If someone has passion for something important then they will be happy. And since they're happy they'll share their love with others. It's a great process if you ask me. I think everyone should enjoy life because when you look back on it, it is very short. I'm only fourteen and though to me it feels like I've been in this world for a long time, I know that I haven't and my real journey has a long way before it ends.

The quote says: "But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for."

Poetry comes in all forms of writing. Pure poetry, literature in books, songs and music are all works of art called poetry. People can understand it and think about it and love it. They live for it because it has passion which is what every human being strives to have and accomplish.

These and many other things contain beauty. Beauty is inside of everybody. I'm not talking about beauty on the outside, though it's nice, but I am talking about what is really important which is being beautiful and wonderful and imaginative inside. This is passionative again, which makes people love it.

Romance is something that just about everyone wants. Someone in their life to love and charish and talk to and listen to and understand. Getting to know that one person deep inside is so fufilling. Romance has passion and love which is why everybody wants to find it.

But the real thing everyone want to find is love. Because it is the root of all that is good. With love comes more passion than anything, more emotions that anything, more feeling than anything and more fufillment than anything. Love is something that everyone tries to achieve and if absolutely everyone wants to find it, then there must be something great, terrific and unexplainable behind it. So everyone should share the love in this world. Because with love, comes everything. It is the meaning of life. Love, is what leads to happiness, strength, accomplishment, friendship, poetry, beauty, romance, bringing people together, and it is the one thing that can be shared with everyone. It is amazing.

Poetry

Life is filled with an astounding amount of problems and solutions. The human drive is to be happy, to feel important, to feel worth. Whether you find this worth in love, entertainment or achievements, this is what humans live for. Reaching out with passion and want, we all want to complete the tasks set before us. These "goals" are what keeps everything in motion.
As a teenager we are faced with problems that we have to face on our own. Rationalizing on our own and stretching out to whatever distance to achieve that goal, to fill the empty void, to feel worth. The idea that the whole world is a poem waiting to be written is strange and so i ask, where is your verse?
If i were to contribute a verse to this all surrounding poem it would be based on Og Mandino quote "I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand. Henceforth will I apply all my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy.
My verse is "Life has it's ups and downs, Building up and getting torn down, But I have worth and I will keep my head up high while I strive to complete this task, to become a champion."

My Purpose In This Life

"But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. "

Love. That is my purpose.
To both love to live and live to love.
For it is love that makes life worth living.
Poetry, beauty, and romance all are oppertunities for this thing we call love to enter our lives.
But we must take those oppertunities and use them.
Love is the only magic still left in this cruel world.
Without it, breathing is second nature, a flower is just a flower, life is sn expectation.
But with it, a breath is appreciated, a flower is a symbol, life is a gift.
Love can make the impossible, possible.
Love is a force.
It is a powerful force inside all of us.
Some are too scared that one day it will be lost.
But it is worth the risk.
I will take the risk, again and again, and know it is worth every tear.
To make love empower hate, that is my purpose.
Loving is my purpose.

Now on a less poetic note...

I have many life goals. Several of these goals are personal...I hope to change someones life, I hope to make a example of myself, I hope to see the world, I hope to save a life, I hope to enjoy my career, I hope to learn something new each and every day, I hope to learn from my mistakes, I hope to adopt a needy child, I hope to be accomplished, I hope to try new things, I hope to skydive, I hope to write a novel, I hope to be in a band, I hope to be a good mother. But these are just goals concerning me. I also like to think that every person has a purpose to being alive, every person will impact the world in one way or another. I hope to impact the world in a positive way. I don't know yet how I will, and at my age, I'm not sure anyone does.
Generally though, I hope I can make a change. I want to prevent global warming as much as a single person can. I want to protest war and encourage peace. I want to be educated enough to inform my children and my friends on what we can all do to better this world. The human race is at a turning point and it is up to my generation to change it. The media has already done a great job on influencing pop culture to be more important than world issues. I'm sure more kids in this school know about Paris Hilton than they do the kids in Darphur. Is that right? No! So I hope to do as much as I can do to help, to change, to not just accept things the way they are but to question them. That's my purpose in life.

LIFE PURPOSESSSS!!!!!!!!!!! + THE PURPOSE OF LIFE!!!!!!!!

I agree with the quote, " But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for." I believe one should try to focus on these things in life, because these are the things that make life worth living. Without love and happiness, or beauty and romance, what would there be? Work, duty, and an endless cycle of monotony, with nothing to enjoy or divide time besides night and day. Therefore, my primary goal in life is to be happy, and hopefully in that process make others happy.
Though I want to be an overall happy person, I do not want to be the kind of person that has to always appear happy even she is not. I don't want to live a fake life, I want people to see me as I truly am. So, if I'm not happy on a particular day, or week, or month, I don't want to be fake happy to make others more comfortable or happy. Many people I know are so busy trying to make others happy that they forget themselves. They put others before themselves and forget how to make themselves happy.
Also, I want to be remembered for always being myself, and being confident and happy with that person. I want to be remembered for the lives I hope to change in a positive way. I do not want to be remebered for the size of my house, or the type of car I own. True happiness does not come with material possesions, so I never want to value something material over something that is living and can truly make myself and others happy. Furthermore, I hope to have a carreer doing something I love, rather than for money. I do not want to be remembered as the person who had every material possesion money could buy, but was never happy because she didn't love or ever take the risks that are needed in order to have a life worth living.
The idea within this poem is that everyone plays a certain part in the world and everyone has something special about them that no one else has. This poem sends a good message because a lot of people don't think that they can do anything to help the world, but just little things help people everyday. Everyone has to contribute what they can to help. People need to find out who they are, and what they are good at. This poem also means that people need to do what they can to help others, and be kind to others. just being nice to a person can brighten their day and then they can brighten other people's days and the kindness can spread. I'm not exactly sure what my verse would be, but I don't want to try to be like everyone else like so many kids these days. I think the poem below, The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost is a great poem because it shows to take a different path and do what you belive is right.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,
and I--I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Christmas

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the entire year. My family normally goes down to North Carolina for Christmas break. The car ride always seems to take forever. It takes 12 hours with light traffic. My mom and dad take turns driving while me and my brother are stuck in the back seat with the dog in the very back. If is cramped and uncomfortable, especially when my 6ft tall brother wants to lay down and take a nap. The first few hours of the trip arn't that bad because we leave at five in the morning so I just sleep. But right around the 6 hour mark I run out of things to do and get really bored. I even started looking at people's license plates once to see if I could find all fifty states, I found all of them except Alsaka. Once the ride down is over we go to my aunt's house where the majority of my dad's intermediate family is already staying. We normally have a small dinner and then my brother, my cousin, and me share the room up on the 3rd floor. The days before Christmas are spent going to the mall down there, hanging out with relatives, and preping for the big Christmas Eve feast. It is an Italian tradition to have 7 different courses of fish the night before Christmas. So the entire day is spent in the kitchen getting everything ready for that night. When we all finally sit down for dinner there is tons of dishes of food litering the table. There is calamari with just the right amount of breading, warm homemade crab cakes that are just barely spicy, and clam and mussels ready to soak in as much butter as I want. Then we have flounder with a zesty lemon maranade, fat stuffed squid (which I still don't have the guts to try), jumbo shrimp with pasta, and as for the rest I normally to stuffed to even eat. That night I go to sleep pretty fast because I'm so full. In the morning I wake up and wait in the kitchen with the other early risers for everyone else to wake up. Then we all meet in the living room to see what is in our bulging stockings. I love to sit on the comfy couch by the warm brick fireplace. Everyone takes turns opening the colorful presents under the christmas tree. We take plenty of pictures to remember the day and then we let the dogs come in to open their presents and play in the huge piles of wrapping paper. It is always sad when we have to leave for the long ride home and I'm already looking forward to it the next year.

poem

The idea within the poem is everyone has a certain quaulity that they contribute to the world. Whether is good or bad. My life goals are to become a magazine layout editor for Seventeen magazine. In Seventeen i could talk to some of the other editors and they could put in an article that would help people understand what they could do for the world. People that read Sevevnteen are mostly teens and teens are the furture. they will be the ones that will have to face problems when they get older and vote and make descions on certain things so they mine as well be educated on those things. I want to get married when im older. My verse is that I wantt to be able to save the planet but not in a tree huger sense. I would like to carpool with family and co-workers. I want to live in Boston so when im there i could probably walk to places if i lived colse enough. A poem that i live by is Half the world is, "Half the world was, Half the world thinks, Half the world does." by Daegal. I want to be half of the world that does. Half of the world that contributes and not the half that sits around waiting for something to happen. if you sit around waiting for something to happen nothing ever will happen you just need to go out there and do it. You cant be scared that something bad will happen because thats what makes the world go around.

Good day scholars. Today you are going to write about the idea within this quote and what are your life goals? What will your verse be? (You may even discuss a poem you really enjoy and how it helps bring more meaning to your life.)

“We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, ‘O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?’ Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?”

Enjoy life!

A Story of the Past, the Future and the Cold

Ice dances among the clouds. Everything around her is coated in clear crystal, and the world is silent. Each individual leaf, each blade of grass, is separate from the others, encased in its own little shell molded to its exact shape. These shells are their homes now, and their coffins later. As the cold seeps into them, they will wither and shrivel, yet still be held upright by the omnipresent ice. Come spring, they will be reborn anew, and raise their nonexistent heads to face the sun.

The girl turns, and walks, her feet crunching on the glassy grass and releasing a few lucky strands from their cases. The world is sparkling with an everlasting beauty that will be gone by the next day. She can barely see, and yet everything is within her view. She walks, and she thinks, of snowflakes, of family, of sweet kisses on happy days. Enveloped in the past, she is still in awe of the present, of the fragility and the quiet strength of the ice. It thinks that it will last forever and that life will remain within its grasp for eternity, yet it melts in its arrogancy and must return to freeze another day.

She wants to run inside, to fetch her camera, to preserve this day for as long as she can. But the ice keeps her out. It calls to her, and she is seduced by its silent brilliance. She knows that it will not last, and that no photograph can capture its spirit. The cold makes her skin tingle, and the absence of wind and sound makes her spine tingle. She could taste the bitter cold, but it mattered not, here in this frozen paradise. Quietly she attempted to pace, to preserve it all in her memory to look back upon. Again the ice crunched beneath her feet as she walked all around and back again, back through clouds of her own steaming breath. Finally she knew that her mind held as much as it could, and though she would miss this ice, though she knew that she would probably never see it again, she headed inside to once again meditate on the past, the future, and the cold.

--------------------------
I'm really not sure what to highlight.....I just sort of wrote what was in my head. I don't know if I actually completed the task, but heck, I enjoyed it. This actually (mostly) happened to me last year - there was one morning when everything in my yard had frozen over and I just went out and walked around. It was really amazing - I was in awe the entire time. Go out in the cold sometimes, guys. It clears your mind :D

Writing Exercise #1

The air inside the car is cool, and the upholstery, beige, maroon, green, ugly, is fuzzy. I run my hand over and over and over in mild agitation...
We always park down the road and across the street. I am not looking forward to the place I am going but am glad that I am going there, anyway, it is the right thing to do, and I know I would feel worse if I skip it. I slide on the plain black flats, which I discarded once in the car. I step out onto the sidewalk of Troy and close the car door, my back to the old bowling alley. I feel mildly self-conscious in the pouffy beige skirt which rustles in the wind and black shell-and-cardigan set -- definitely not what I would wear voluntarily.
The wind flutters the hair of me and my family as our dress shoes clip-clap-clip quickly across the sidewalk; we are late. We walk past the storefronts, a butcher's shop, a comical gift store with letters on the door spelling "NOPE," a scrambling of the usual greeting. Crossing the street, I see down the road in one direction black asphalt and buildings, more high-society than the places on the other side of town. Down in the other direction, tall, rectangular, squashed-together city apartments, their color washed out. We cross the street and smile at the suit-clad door-opening congregants. "Happy New Year," we exchange. Above us, the tall, ornately decorated, beautiful sanctuary part of the synagogue rises. We walk through the wide, maroon door and greet more congregants (why are they here, just waiting for latecomers? Did they grow tired of the service already?).
Of course, being late, and not inclined to stay the whole hours-long service, we are seated downstairs from the sanctuary to watch the rabbi and cantor conduct the service by means of a television screen which films them upstairs. To our right is the kitchen, with its kosher sinks and huge refrigerator, and farther on is the Trope, Sunday, and Hebrew School classrooms. I can hear the singing and chanting wafting from the upstairs. We sit.
Our rabbi, smiling, talks and leads and chants from the bimah which we watch on the screen, and we follow her lead..."We recite the Amidah on page 37 of the blue siddur..." The cantor's rich, vibrant, loud and incredibly powerful opera-worthy voice comes down from upstairs, rattling my eardrums and forcing me to suppress a giggle. Behind them both I see the ark. Across its top, "In Memoriam" of a boy who had a fatal canoe accident is written in gilded letters. On the sides, the illusion of golden columns is created by bending stripes of golden paint. On either side of the ark, seven-spoked electric candelabras are; and hanging from the top of the ark, in which the Torahs are held, is the electric eternally burning light.
In what seems a short time, we decide to leave. As we leave, we vow to stay for the whole service next Rosh Hashana. We would return in thirteen days for Yom Kippur.

ooooo yay a writing exersise for a blog!

Well right now we are supposed to describe stuff. and seeing that i cant think of anything to describe i shall choose a random object in the room. Hum de hum hum... oooooooo! a coputer keyboard!

well i love keyboards, the keys are arrenged so ordery and yet so abstractly. all of them black with the thin uniform white lines that we have interpreted to make some sence. i love the way they feel against your fingers, how at first their is a delicate resistance but then they just give way to the force of your hand like pulling 2 magnets away from each other. and the sound of someone typing quickly even if it is noncense it always has the sound of something meaningful. i cant tell you what they smell like because my sence of smell is weaker then Bob Ewell's case against Tom Robinson (do i get extra credit for the TKAM reference?). as for taste well i have never tasted a keyboard and frankly i never intend to, it would seem a sort of blasphomy to befoul an instrument which has helped many inspired thinkers record their thoughts (even if it was just for homework and against their will).

well then that is i see a coputer keyboard. i haope you found it enlightening and that you will view this extraordinaraly common item in a different way now.

My Dogg

My dog has gott to to be my favorite part of my family. She is also my greatest achievement against my parents. This is because it took me 7 years to convince my parents to get me my little puppy is is currently one and a half years old. Her name is Arabella but we call her Bella for short. She is a pugle meaning her father was a pug and her mother was a beagle. She may look a little weird but she is one of the neatest breed there is. She is brown, golden and black, she has a straight black tail and a short nose with medium sized ears. Her favorite thing to do is destroy anything that might have stuffing. She is born killer and sleeper, and unfortunately digger of gardens. Although she can be a huge pain the times where shes asleep or tired or wants to sit with you make remember why you got a dog in the first place. There is nothing (no other word to use) cuter than seeing a dog fall asleep standing up and then fall on their face. In conclusion, I think my dog is one of the best things that I have ever gotten. And that if you arent allergic to dogs you should definitely get one yourself.

Holidays and Winter

Well...I'm not sure what to type about, so I'll just do Winter/Christmas/Holidays.
Descriptive in italics. (I'll try.)

I'm not sure if I like winter so much, but it is a pretty cool season I suppose. Snowdays and delays, who doesn't love those? Anyways, the snow flakes are always a good sign to us kids. It's wierd how we hope theres a blizzard, which is dangerous, just for the sake of getting out of school. I'm sure a lot of people think of winter as magical..but for me I just think it's a bitter cold season just trying to torment me...until Christmas comes around. I love Christmas, because it's the one day I can count on my family getting along. Seeing everyone's bright, warm smile is a rare thing at my moms house, so I try to make the most of the moment. Thankfully ther's an aftermath with Christmas, where everyone still feels happy about the day before, and are even more happy for the new year. A good part about winter is that, when it's not cloudy..well it usualy is but when its not, you can still see the sunrise and sunset with the crimson, bright yellow, pink, and orange colors. It's just nice to see it. My mom lives right near Hudson Valley college, and theres also the stadium there too. It's fun to stand outside and watch the fireworks every year on holidays, exploding in the air with sometimes blinding shine and loud, booming noises. All in all, I love the holidays and I can tolerate winter for the most part..the freezing temperatures that make your whole body tremble just annoys me, but other than that it's ok.

My Bedroom

My bedroom is SO cozy. The walls are pink with light green and light blue sponge painted on the pink. My bed is a canopy bed but i took off the canopy. My bed has a big fluffy pink and white comforter on it. Next to my bed is my teddy bear lamp and my pink alarm clock. Across from my bed is my big brown desk. The top of it has a palce where I can put pictures and the the pictures wont fall out because it has doors on it. Underneath that is a desk that opens out and three drawers underneath that. Next to my desk is my walk in closet and my window. My full lenght mirror is next to the walk in closet. My mirror is brown and it rotates up and down. My dresser is next to my mirror. It holds my clothes and on top of it is my small black TV. Also ontop of my dresser is my straighter and other stuff like that. My room is bigger than my brothers and I love it.

VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball, one of the most amazingist sports around. There is so much intensity in a game its unbelievable, you need to have passion to play this sport. you put so much sweat, tears, and surprisingly blood. If you don't have a great team you can easily get beaten no matter how good you are. When you have a team you can Trust, love, and pretty much act like sisters with then you know nothing can stop you, and even when you do lose you know that you tried your hardest and so did your "sisters". They root for you when you serve, spike, dig and save the ball, they are there for you no matter what. When you play volleyball in a competitive game you have to be " in the groove". Because if your not then you cant pay attention, serve as good as you would, and spike the ball as hard as possible. Volleyball is a committed sport, its almost like you need to marry a volleyball and say i will be with you for the rest of my life. When you love Volleyball as much as my team does the next pre-season is very much anticipated. Volleyball is mostly the love of my life, without volleyball I would be lost, and I thank the person who told me I should.

My bedrooooooom.

My room is incredible. At least I think it is. The walls are a horried red that try to cover up the sky blue they once were. The body length mirrors on one of the walls are covered in smudged and faded lipstick love notes my friends leave me. I've got a few posters, random pictures, and the cove my bed is in has tons of pictures of my friends. Speaking of that cove. Oh how I love that cove. Yasee, there's this little cut out next to my closet that is like a little cubby/cave thingy that we put my bed in. And it's pretty dank cause it feels like you're secluded and have like complete privacy. The door has pictures my friend Emily has painted me while we watched/sang Hairspray on my living room floor. The carpet is the worst shade of blue/green you will ever see and has too many burn holes to count. And my room smell fabulous. Not just good, but fabulous. It's a combo of vanilla, mint, and Texas. And I'm sure you know what Texas smells like. My bedroom always seems to be cold too. I mean, not just chilly but the kind of cold where you need like three blankets to keep a normal body temperature. But that only goes on in the winter considering that one of the two windows I have is broken. And the other window is non-existant. It's just a rectangle cut out of my wall with some cheap plywood to keep out the cold. During the summer my room gets to be pretty darn hot. If you close the door and don't turn on a fan/A.C., my room is like a suana. Beside all the stupid temperature changes my room goes through. It's the neatest rooom ever. Not neat in the clean way, but neat in a cool way. I adore my room and I wouldn't give it up for the world.

Stuff about me

My room is kind of a mess. My room is ont only messy but has its shares of holes in the wall and ceiling. theres are also a couple bad attemps at trying to cover them up. As for my house goes it is alot better looking then my room but for my house it is concidered an acomplishment if two things dont get broken in a day. But my house has light blue green walls with a leaf trim going arounde on the windows. Now in the addition it is just a place for me and my friends to hang out and talk, but mostly we just play guitar and other instruments up there. There are three guitars two of them are red and the other ones is black. There is also a nice drum set that is black and gray with gold symbols. Life is never dull though at my house sepecial with the people that are always arounde to make things funny. One thing though that is funny about my house is you can tell when my parents have decorated the house. It then changes into a place you could tell was decorated by kids.

Stuff

I live in Averill Park, about 2 miles from the middle school. My house is brown and kind of big. The only reason my house looks huge is because of the 3 car garage. My house has a sort of big backyard and a good hill for sledding down when it snows. Inside my house there is the family room, living room, dining room, kitchen, on the first floor. And on the second floor there is my room, my brother's room and my mom and dads room. And then theres a basement.......

In my family room there is a 52" TV that we just got yesterday, and a couch and a laptop. In the living room theres just a computer and 2 chairs. In the dining room theres a table, and in the kitchen theres another table (the one that we eat at) and a bunch of chairs, and a tv. (Not very exciting).

On the second floor, my room has a big bed, a 19" flatscreen comp, and a TV. In my brothers room there is an Xbox 360 (it's OURS but he uses it ALL the time, just kidding) and a TV and another big bed. In my moms room there is a huge bed, a bathroom, 2 dressers and a huge amount of empty space.

In the basement there is 3 TV's and and bunch of workout equipment things that are rarely used.

Thats it...

My story of fire

One day as I was sitting in my woods i said " Im gonna make a fire." so i did. It wasn't a really big fire it just caught to stuff and then got pretty big, but don't worry i had it under control, so I thought. The fire was so pretty and i couldn't put it out so i had to keep adding wood and stuff. Then I went way out of hand and i decided i wanted to through a spray paint can in the fire, i was like alright when i droped it in but then i realiezed before it blew up the i was in the deep dry woods. BOMB!! Uh-oh , it just caught to some trees and is now spreading, so i said to myself "I'm movin to Canada", but then i realized again that i hate canada, oh well i just burn it down too.

I ran on my bike to the train station in my backyard, and i climb to the top of a big red box car and I headed out for Canada. I went to the middle of the boring country in a big forest isolated from everyone and i cut down some trees with my awesome muscles and made myself a cabin, and i lived on a lake with fresh water, and fish, and i could hunt like a fox. So my life was good up there and i became a colorfull outdoors man.

One day when i was about 16, a bear came to my house and he became my friend, and we had tea together and talk about sports. So me and my Bear friend, Arnald hung out alot. Arnald was big and fuzzy, and ate other animals and humans just not me and whoever i tell him not to eat. Me and Arnald soon discoverd oil and we got rich and moved to Germany and then we took are money and we bought germany. So Arnald and I became the Dictators of Germany. We grew our Empire and we took over the world and became overlords, we owned everyone.

We have brought peace to earth and then we made space ships and took over the galexy, but that was easy because THERES NO OTHER LIFE.

The End

My Bedroom

My bedroom is one of my favorite rooms!! It really reflects who I am. It is pink, my favorite color and most of the time it is completely unorganized. I have two average sized windows and two extremely small closets. My room is freezing cold in the winter because I keep my door shut to keep my dogs out, and in the summer my room is extremely hot because it is upstairs. I have a twin bed that always seems way too small because my dog shares it with me. On my bed there are two good sized pillows and two small throw pillows and there is a puffy white down comforter and a pink fluffy fleecy throw blanket. I have a small book shelf and two average size dressers. On one of my dressers has an extremely small television on it and there are MASSIVE amounts of clothing all over the place. My walls have an off-white wall paper with pink flowers all over it, and my carpet is also pink. I love the smell of my bedroom, but I don’t know how to describe it. It smells comforting. I always know that when I get home my room will be there in all its disgusting glory and my bed will be waiting for my every single night.

the bus ... AHHH!!!!!!

The ride in and out of school is very interesting when your ride the bus. Some days there are times were you are ahving alot of fun, when you want to shoot youself, or when your just looking out the window. Personaly the bus that I ride is all of the above. The bus is loud... very loud. If you had a head ache before you got on.. chances areits not going to go away anytime soon. Alot of people ride me bus... some of those people being Rebekah G., Jimmy W. his sister Steph , Larry and nicole perez , meagn v ( the only sane one there) and chris k. there are a TON more people who ride but if i continued, YOu would be the one who would want to shoot yourself. We have a really nice bus driver named Bill and a not so nice buss monitor named regina. lets just say some of us dont agree with her all that much. well all of us dont agree with her that much, but thasts a different story. Our bus smells, im not gonna lie. The worst case of the smell was when someone flatualed if you will and stunk up the buss. the smell reaqes all the time so dont think it was just that one time. People on my bus can be eather cruel to you, or nice to you. Theres really ni in between. Its kinda sad but i guess that just how it is. The bus had cliques, naturally. 6th gradersw stay with 6th graders. No i take that back. middle schoolers stay with middle schoolers and high schoolers stay with high schoolers, for the most part. For some reason people like my brother. Thats really scary. And then he tells high schoolers thing that arent true about me... and they believe him. It took forever for people to stop thinking I beat my brother. Yes my brother went that low and made that one up.. i dont beat my brother. I get made fun of alot on the bus. Like a couple years ago, people called me mark the crapping bald guy thinking it was funny ... but its not. And now, people think its funny to pluck my hair out... NOT FUNNYY!!!!! they say there saving up enough to make me a sock .. out of my hair!!!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!! According to the people on the buss ( cough cough jimmy w and chris cough cough ) i guess my voice is too high and very annoying. i cant help if my voice is high.. thats how god wanted me i guess. Yeah i get worked up about these things and get really annoid.. they think its funny. im very loud when it comes to these things. VERY loud. The bus is a very exiting place to be... well mine is anyway.

Snow

You know that feeling you get when the first snow comes? It's there for only a moment or two, but it's a feeling that you don't forget. Just the other day-- Saturday I think-- I had that very feeling...

I woke up at 7:00. I looked outside and at once, a smile spread over my face. I ran to the tree and turned on the lights. Then I sat on the couch and looked out the window for a few seconds. I turned on my mini tree and then the outside lights. I sat, curled up in the corner of the couch for a little while longer. I then noticed that Frosty, the inflatable snowman, was looking kind of dead. It was covered in snow and could not blow up: So, of course I crept into the garage, slipped on my cozy boots and coat, came back into the house, and tromped out the front door. I brushed the snow off of Frosty until my fingers were numb, and then turned to go back inside. When I came to the front porch, I turned around. I looked at the whole of my world for that moment. Then my mom knocked on the front window, smiling at how I did this, and smiling because she enjoyed my enjoyment. I yanked off my snowy boots and went inside to the warm atmosphere there. What a great way to begin December...

You know what's really fun? Well, a lot of things are, but here's one: Twirling around in the falling snow, almost until you fall down, letting the snow catch in your eyelashes, catching other snowflakes on your tongue...Spinning. Spinning. Spinning...The whole world is spinning... You're on the ground, but you're in the sky.

Winter Wonderland

SENEY'S RESPONSE

Come December, I anticipate the snow coming down flowing swiftly to the ground. I wait by the window so anxiously, with my nose practically on it. I feel the cool chill from the frosted window go through my body. I smell the sweet aroma of my mother's pies that were just taken out of the oven. The aroma picks me up and sprinkles me with sweetness.

Then, out of nowhere, I spot a snowflake. Flowing so innocently, no place to go but down, down...
My mother calls to me to come set the table. I try to block out everything as to spare the moment of winter's beauty. She yells once more, and I get up almost wishing I could pause what I've seen. I rush into the kitchen, clanking dishes as I try to hurry. I'm done. I run back into the living room, and what I see fascinates me. Once I walked into the room, the clouds let lose all of its contents. The snow flowing so vigoriously down like bullets from a gun. It amazes me how something so simple like snow can almost tell a story. In the beginning, the single, crisp snowflake, and now the bustle of hundreds. I run to the door in sheer excitement. I run outside in my socks and try to catch every snowflake that comes to me. It's crisp and frigid outside, but I feel so refreshed by the air. I run around, frolocking and kicking the snow as I go. I want the moment to last forever, with no worries tearing me down.

to be continued...
