Earth Day

As a Christian i am very concerned about how we respect and preserve the earth that God entrusted us with, i believe this is one issue both liberals and conservatives can agree on. I believe alternative fuels would be a great option for our country to lesson our dependency on foriegn oil. This would also help us with the war on terror as we wouldn't be sending our dollars over seas to people who would like nothing better than to see America destroyed.

As an imediate action my family has been taking alot less trips with our car, which in turn has led to more quality time at home. My family has always made it a priority not to become dependent on the material things of the world, we've tried not to make these things our source of happiness. If they came they came if they didn't, they didn't. I am a firm believer in personal responsibility, and i believe that if everyone in our country would tighten their belts and did their part, instead of depending on our government to bail us out all the time, we just might be able to become a strong, self sufficient country as we were in the past. Our family pocketbook has definetly been hit hard of late. We've sacrificed and are constantly making adjustments in our daily lives. The sacrifices we have made are alot easier to endure, when i think about the soldiers who are doing their part sacrificing everything they have for my freedom.

As a Christian i believe everyday should honor God and the earth that He has entrusted us with, after all, it's not ours, it's His. Therefore, everyday should be earth day.
