If you could switch places with or be anyone you wanted . . .Who would you be? OR . . .?

Hello all.

You know I don't miss class unless I really need to . . .I have a stomach bug. Yuck. So does my husband and the girls-it's a lot of fun at my house! And now my son.

Today's blog is what you would have written on Friday, I am hoping not to lose our momentum too much. BLOCK 8-be sure you work on last week's blog too.

If you could switch places with anyone (real or imagined) who would it be? Why? For how long? Where would you go? What would you do? Create a little story. Have fun!

I am editing this post this AM because of the primary results last night (and because I feel a little better right now and can think). You may choose to write about your thoughts on the primary last night-be sure to not write in an insulting way. You may just try to put your thoughts out there. The polls had Obama winning by double digits. McCain was out of money this summer with is staff resigning in droves. Now look who just got a second chance. Do you follow politics? Are you intersted in what is going on? Why? Why not? You may even check CNN.com or BBC.com or any other news you like to watch for more information. You may even try looking at a source you don't normally look at for a different perspective.

Enjoy,
Mrs. Gaboury

Be sure to post.

Extra Credit

The book I am currently reading is F451 by Ray Bradbury. I personally think that the book is so-so. I wouldn't say that I don't like it, but at the same time I won't say that I love it. It is interesting in the way that it is some what suspenseful in parts and that the author goes into great discription about the surroundings in the book. Although some parts are long and not very exciting to read. Besides those parts I think that the ideas expresses in the novel like growing ignorance are true and catch my atention. The book has made me think about how people arn't told about all the things they should know about. Also, how some people don't even care enough to pay attention to what is going on. I've also seen that the worst this issue gets the more people who care push to try and change what is happening. That part makes me believe that the problems in Fahrenheit 451 won't reach to be as severe in real life. This book should be used in school to help encourage people to look at what is happening around them. As a free reading book I would say that this book would be more entertaining with people who like to think about life and have the patience to stay concentrated even on the slow going parts of the book.

Reflection

I can't believe that 2007 is already over and that the new year is here. There are so many things to look back on over the year. One of the biggest things that happened this past year would have to be graduation. It was so different leaving the middle school and going to the high school. I hadn't even been back to the middle school until a few days ago. Graduation was exciting and happy because we were all moving forward, but at the same time a little sad that we were leaving an old school. If I were to give this any song it would have to be the song that was played at graduation. It's not a very creative choice, but it fits. Another big event was my family trip to Italy for two weeks. I haven't every had a better vacation than it. We were there for two weeks and visited Rome, Florence, Fano, and Venice with day trips to Assisi, San Gimignano, Siena, Murano, and Burano. I loved it and my song for this event would be "The Great Escape" by Gwen Stefani because there isn't a better escape from everyday life than going to another country. The third major thing in '07 was my birthday which was on September 7. I finally turned 14 so now I can get job...but why would want to do that. If you couldn't already guess which song I'm choosing it's Happy Birthday. The fourth event was the construction on our house. For the past few months we've had workers coming every day to fix or change something. It's still going on but they don't show up every day and now we have a new front entrance, north entrance, garage, luandry room, and several closets. The fifth thing that happened would be Christmas. My dad's side of the family came to our house for Christmas day including my Aunts and Uncles from North Carolina and Colorado. Even though it was kind of boring it turned otu pretty good in the end.

My New Year's resolution is to remember to do my homework for Math and Science. For some reason this past year I kept forgeting I had homework in those classes. As for the rest of the stuff I want to improve in, it can wait for monthly goals. Starting in February I'm going to try to procrastinate less...like thats every going to happen.

Happy New Year!

Greetings!
I hope you had a great break and your brain is ready to work hard!

Here is today's question--please take into consideration YOUR life, the WORLD, and the books you are reading (mention them in your writing please)- and answer this:

Do we need other people's approval for what we do and how we live? "Whose affection do you value more, hers or theirs?"--Artie from Stargirl.

How easy is it to be our own voice? To do what we want and be who we want? What happens if we do not value our own voice and at the same time respect the voices of others? What happens if we do not STAND for something, do we FALL for anything?

How do you handle this? What keeps you focused and listening to your voice? What distracts you from being the true you? In the book you are reading-how are the characters handling this issue?

Enjoy!
Mrs. Gaboury

My Verse

The quote by John Keating teaches us many things. It means that even though peotry is entertianing it is written to express the emotions and life of the writer. Everyone has some type of motivation to write their own peom, they have their own story to tell. Keating believes that the whole world is like a peom, each person contributing their own part, changing the peom in some way giving it more meaning and signifigance. Peoms sometimes show what we want to happen in the future such as our life goals. My personal life goals are to help stop the problems going on around us. Many of these problems are curroption in politics and how they conceal important information to try and control people. I want to help stop the constant influence of big buisnesses. Unfortunately that is a practically impossible task to accomplish. Personally I hope my verse in the world peom is happy and when looked on will help to raise peoples spirits. as of now though I don't have a clue what it will be about.

Extra Credit!!!!

What do you think about the book you are reading--either Fahrenheit 451 or Stargirl. Do you like it? Why? Why not? What does it make you think about/of? Why? Would you recommend it? Why? Why not?

IF YOU CHOSE TO DO THIS__YOU MUST HAVE A GOOOOOOOD WRITING IN ORDER FOR IT TO COUNT AS EXTRA CREDIT. A Good strong paragraph.

political stuff . . .

I've always found politics incredibly interesting, but just this year really realized just how important they are. The politics of this country will have an impact om the rest of the world.

Now, I'm not sure exactly where I stand - I haven't taken the time to do alot of research. I come from a family of independents who have a tendency to lean conservative republican. I get alot of my info from people and righ now I'm trying to seperate the opinion of others to actual facts about the candidates.

One large question I've been battling is how much I should let the religion of the candidates effect my view on them. Being a christian, I sometimes feel judged like since I'm a Christian, I'd just blindly vote for Reverend Huckabee because of his previous occupation as a minister. Let me just say that I'm not sure I know any Christian who votes that way. I guess the way I look at it is that within our Constitution, our leaders don't have the ability to force there religion upon us (aetheists don't need to fear Huckabee). If our leader isn't religous, how much does that really effect us? Morals would probably be effected by religion. Mrs. Gaboury made an interesting comment to me the other day about how if the candidate believes in God, then they kind of have someone to keep them accountable when nobody is looking. This could b every helpful in helping our government out of it's corruption.

I guess what seems more important in this race is finding a good leader. Our country is in a difficult spot right now with the war, illegal immigration and economy, health care etc.

Personally, I don't like the democratic idea of bringing our troops home in a year and all that. I do think that if Iraq won't corroporate, we need to get out of there but it seems like getting out there in a single moment could be deadly for Iraqi future.

Illegal immigration must be nailed. This is really hurting our economy. These guys must be made real, legitimit citizens or must be made to leave. I can see the republican idea of deporting all the ones who have commited crimes working. These people certianlly should be let back into our country as legitimate citizens. We certinally can not let people sneak into our country, take our jobs without paying taxes and then commit crimes. If they're commiting crimes out of desperation, that is no excuse. If they had come in as legal citizens, they would have been able to get legal help without stealing money from the American people.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about health insurance and stuff like that. I also don't know exactly where the candidates stand on all this. I hope to learn more about this in the near future.

One more comment. I desperately hope that women won't vote for Hilarly because she's a women. It's as sickening as white people voting for a white candidate because he is white and African-American's voting for Barak Obama because he's African-American. What we are looking for in this election is a good leader no matter what his/her outward complextion or sex is.

Extra Time

In a way I don’t like Stargirl (the book) because I think in real life that I haven’t never met someone like Stargirl, being so nice no matter what, not caring for what people say or any thing. I like this book because I think that Leo is cool and is looking outside of the box and actually liking and has a crush on Stargirl. Leo is giving Stargirl a chance and he really likes her and I hated when they when to school and that everyone acted that they were invisible and when his best friend Kevin told him the reason why I thought that was wrong and I think in real life that also wouldn’t of happened and at least there friends would of talked to them. But is see what the author was trying to show the reader. I recommend this book to a middle school level. To talk about stereotypes and the diversity between them.

Who to Choose

I honestly think that you cant judge someone by the way they dress or what their face looks like, how tall or short they are, etc...But I do think that you should be you know, clean. Clothes are a big thing too, but really, everyone has their own taste. Everyone likes different things and stuff so you cant have everyone loving the way you look. You are your own person..seriously, if you like your hair a certain way and you like to wear certain clothes then go for it. People who tell you that "this looks ugly" or "you need to do something with your wardrobe" have some major issues. Sure, your friends can give you suggestions or something but you dont have to do exactly what they say, or anyone else for that matter. Honestly, I really hate it when my mom tells me to wear this or that, it bugs me and I just end up ignoring her. I love the woman but shes too overprotective. Anyways...be clean, be healthy, be yourself.

Message

For some people they live on the opinion of others and care what people say about them. I am totally opposite, I am more of a type of person that doesn’t care about what people say or do. I am a person that is free spirited and I live how I want. Some times I think about what girls say about me but then I don’t because truly they don’t like me, if they try to judge me.

Its very hard to try to be your own voice when you really don’t have any people that are "on your side" but I hate when I see people pick on this kid and he is trying to defend himself and it feels that I should help him but then I’m just going to be picked on. I want to help the other person and I know that’s the right thing what I feel like that I’m going to be the person that is going to get made fun of next.

What I think distracts people from knowing the real me is that what I am afraid of saying things that they may not get or thinks its ridiculous. I think it would be weird if you acted different when you are home because then you treat your family so much differently and I don’t like when my friends do that. Most of them in my book are ignoring it and just keeping it to themselves.

Switching places

I dont think i would want to switch places with anyone because im happy with my life.

My own voice

My voice (even though I dont use it very often)

I usually do follow my own voice, though I do care what people think about me, sometimes. Like when I have to present in front of people, I get extremely nervous and have a breakdown. I do usually do what I want even though it can get me in trouble sometimes, but not usually. I wish that sometimes, people didn't judge you b y what you wear, what you sound like, what you do, how talkative you are, how much you weigh, what sports you play.. (like alot of people make fun of soccer players, why? I dont know. It gets really annoying after a while though, its not like soccer players make fun of football players.) back to the point, I honestly think that this world would be a better place to live if there were no stereotypes.

presidential campaign

I'm usually not interested in politics but i'm interested now. I'm following who's winning, what state there in, who's the people running. I personally what Barack Obama to win because he seems like he would makes alot of things better in the U.S. , he probably won't win though because so many people in the U.S. are racist and wouldn't vote for an African-American to win but it be cool to have the 1st African-American president. Another cool thing about Obama is that he and I share the same birthday (Aug 4th). It is also interesting that he is the only African-American currently serving on the Senate.

The Fight for Affection

I honestly don't think that anyone else's opinion should affect how you act, dress, talk, and such. Their words shouldn't matter. I would much rather have my approval than anyone elses. And sure it won't be easy to stand up for something you believe in/yourself but you should try. Sure, people might dislike you and talk about you but wouldn't the satisfaction you get for doing what's right subside over all of that crap? Everyone wants to fit in and have everyone accept them for who they are, but that doesn't always happen. But if that means not being true to who you are and going along with stupid fads, you're letting yourself down. If you value what others have to say more than you value yourself, you can be sucked into some stupid stuff. Drugs, clothing fads, friends you don't really like, lieing to your parents. It could all happen if you don't listen to who you are and pay attention to what everyone else thinks. It could really mess you up. For real though, stand up for what you believe in. You'll regret it if you don't. Listen to who you are and don't hold back the true you. People will love you no matter what.

Switching places

If I could switch places with anyone I think that I would switch places with a famous person just to see what the life of a famous person would be like. Not just any famous person it has to be someone close to my age because it would be really weird to be in an older persons situation.I think that person would be Taylor swift. I would stay in her place until I get tired of everything. I would definitely go to Nashville to have some fun and to meet other country singers. I would sing with Trace Adkins, sign autographs, and win a CMA. My day would start with a 5 star breakfast and them a shopping spree with a spa trip with Carrie Underwood. Then I would go to lunch with Rascal Flatts and sign some autographs. Then I would go home and take a nap. after that I would sing at Grand ol' opry in front of millions of people. After the concert I would go to my limo and go to a party with all the country and rock singers. After alot of partying I would go home and go to bed and then do it all over again the next day but go on tour instead.

one person to another

The person who i would want to switch with is Lauren from the Hills, I would want to switch with her because she's sucessful and she knows where she's going in life. I would want to switch with her until I couldnt stand the drama anymore and all the sunburns. If I was her I would have gone to Paris the first time she was asked to go instead of turning it down and having her co-worker go instead of her, because she had plans to stay with her boyfriend who she had broken up with when the summer was over with. If I was her I would go out every single night and just have fun but not forget that i would have work in the morning. I'm not into politics because they get me so angry, haha. I think that Hilary Clinton should win because personally out of everyone who is running she deserves it the most and she would best steer our country right then the others. Also she would be the First Women President and to me thats very motivating to any women saying that they could also be the next Women President and that not every time a man has to be the President.

If i could i would trade places with a Ninja, but not just any Ninja, a fire Ninja. That would be awesome because I would have that awesomeness a Ninja and a fire bender thing. I think I would make a great fire Ninja. To help you understand this I will tell you a brief story about it.

Darkness covered the land of Smytimotherns Burg(fictional country). I was on a fire Ninja type mission with my partner. All was well, we were pwning mad noobs with our fire blast and stealthy techniques. Oh no! I stepped on a frog!! And we all know what that means. Anyway, Peter, my partner, and I continued our mission, then we saw the reason for this mission. FROZEN MEAT!!!!! So as fire Ninjas we has to unfreeze the meat, because you deserve a hot juicy burger!and so do you! AND SO DO YOU! Hot juicy burger! Hot juicy burger! Then out of nowhere except the window came spider man and super man, spider man was clinged onto superman and they crashed and began to battle! So i pulled out my super secret kryptonite blaster and wasted super man, and then took the sports section of the news paper and squished spider man. HA HA! I yelled and then peter and on left and went home to play rock band.

THE END

if i could switch places...

If I could switch places with anyone it would have to be Rob Dyrdek the pro skateboarder. I would want to be him because he is really funny and he seems to always have fun. I would also want to be him becuase he is very good at skateboarding and he's sponsered by awesome brands and gets alot of free stuff from them. He also has his on TV show on MTV called Rob & Big with his bodyguard Christopher "Big Black" Boykins and they do really funny and crazy stuff together. If I was Rob I would enter in skateboarding competions around the world and win them all lol. It also be cool to be him because he has an awesome mini hourse and a cool bulldog and alot of other cool stuff.

Switch places.

If I could switch places with anyone, I would choose...probabaly some rich guy, just to see what their life is like. Or I would switch places with a celebrity, because most of them try to live their lives in secret, because of hte paparzzi. I would just want to know what it would be like to build my life up to that level, and then try to get away from it all, because of the paparzzi. I would like to know what it is like to hide from those people with cameras. I wouldnt like the switch to be permanent, however, because if I hated that life, then I would like to go back to this middle-class life that I have. But, If I did like it, however, (I bet that I wouldnt.) then I would like the switch to be permanent. I don't know exactly which celebirty I would choose...but it would have to be someone pretty famous to get extremely annoyed by the paparazzi.
Jon Cretaro (comment please)

I have a dream that one day people will be themselves with the fear of the opinions of their peers, I also think that star girl is a inspiration because she does what she wants and doesn't care what people think. I want you to ask yourself one question, do you see yourself as yourself, or as something you want to be? The next time you make a judgement on the way someone acts or dresses, just realize that that person is probably being himself, are you?

--Trading Places--

I would want to trade places with a person named Jasper Cullen from the books Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, written by Stephanie Meyer. In the book he was a vampire (and no not the kind that drink human blood) who could control the emotions running through a certain area (like a room). I'm not sure why I would want to be him for a while, maybe just because he isn't exactly a main character but is pretty cool anyways. The power would come in handy, though..like if a room was being chaotic or if there was a riot. It would be like turning down the volume on someones emotions, but it could work the other way around...but I'm not sure when I would wan't to get someone angry. I pretty much like a calm area, at least when I'm at home. Sometimes noise really aggitates me to the point where I want to hit something..its just that annoying for me.

Jasper has a pretty hard life though. Since he was killed and then has to live forever if harm doesn't come his way by another like himself. I'm not exactly sure if I would want to live forever. I mean, he wouldn't grow old, he would stay at his age which is about early twenties. I'd just want to experience being him, seeing and feeling what it's like. The vampires in this book can run extreamly fast, I'd love to be able to do that. Eventually I'd like to switch back to myself, I'm sure he would hate being trapped in my body (anyone would, I know that for sure). But when it comes down to it, I'm the only one who can live my life, and that goes for everyone else.

your own voice

For me listening to my own voice isnt hard, what I think people think of me is something not important to me because only myself and my family are important to me. How I handle listening to myself is just really not listening to people that dont matter to me and I just put it in back of my head. I know its hard for people not to care what others think but I think that more people would be happy if they didnt listen to others because one day they will listen to someone and it wont be good. Things that distract me from me being me is my parents because I dont want to do something that i'll regret because my parents would be dissapointed in me. If someone wanted to do something and never did it because they were afraid of what people thought then when they had gotten older they would feel regret because they never did that one thing that at that time the really wanted to do. In my reading book the main character has insomnia and because of not being able to sleep he is starting to see these dots and different color figurations. The main character wanted to tell someone but he was afriad what the person he wanted to tell would think of him, so he never told anyone.

Who would I be

Well. I think that I would want to switch places with someone in a band. It doesn't matter who it was. but I think it would be great to have the ability to touch so many people with music and have so many people have the same feeling you do when the music hits their ears. Bands have such a great connection with their fans and I wish I could connect to that many people that easily. At a show when a member of a band tells the crowd to jump, every single person starts to jump in unison. I wish I could have the feeling that person on stage gets when they play a show. That confidence, satisfaction, and admiration.

Voice

Many people seem to care what other people think of them and I am included in that group. I guess for some people it is easy for them to be there own voice and not car about what people think. For them most of us it is really not that easy to be our own voice because we are afraid of what people will think if we say whats on our mind. I think that if we start to do what people say that we will lose our individuality and we won't get to do what we want to do because we will think that it's not cool. I listen to my voice less than I should. Alot of things keep me focused on listening to what i want to do. If it's something that I don't believe in doing I will listen to my voice and won't do it. Also what keeps me focused is my determination to do something. If I have enough determination I will stay focused. Many things keep me distracted from listening to my voice. Some days I really worry about what people will think if I do something. As well as if I am in a bad mood I just wanna blend in and hope nobody notices. Leo in Stargirl cares what other people think of him in the beginning but then as he gets closer to Stargirl he starts to not care because as long as Stargirl likes him he is happy.

I would switch with...

If I could switch places with anyone I think it would be a fairy tale Princess. I think it would be…Cinderella. Cinderella has been my favorite fairy tale since I was a little girl. Even though she has an evil step mom and step sisters and her dad died when she was little I still think she has a cool life. She is so pretty and she is friends with all the little mice and animals. I hate mice but the ones in Cinderella are so cute. I love the little fat one, and how they all wear little hats and shirts. I would want to be Cinderella because she has such a cool life and she gets to meet the prince of her dreams.
I love my life so I think it would be nice to be Cinderella for maybe a month. I could hang out with prince and all the little animals and do some cleaning on the side I guess, just to keep the Step Mother happy.

If I was Cinderella for just one day I guess it would go a little something like this…
I would wake up early in the morning so I could get the most out of my day. Then I would make breakfast for everyone and I would go and play with all the farm animals outside and the mice that live in the walls. Then I would do some cleaning, with the music blaring of course. That is the only fun way to clean, you have to blare the music and then dance to it as your dusting and vacuuming. Then I would spend the rest of the day with Prince Charming and go to a royal ball at the end of the night. I would go in a beautiful Dress and dance with the man of my dreams. Then when the clock struck midnight I would turn back into me and the whole day would be like a dream.

Switch Places

If I were to switch places with anyone I would choose to switch with someone famous but still my age. The only reason I would want to switch with someone famous would be so I could just see what it is like. Though I wouldnt want to stay that way forever...I would just want experience it for a little while. It would be cool being famous for a couple weeks, but I know I would miss my old life and would want to go back. If I became famous I would want to go out in the public because I would most likley have fans and/or paparazzi that would follow me. I would want to see what it would be like to have tons of people that want to see you. Then I would want to go shopping or on vacation or to someplace cool, maybe even go on tour if I switched with someone who would do that. But after a while, like a month or two I would think I would want to go back to my old life. But if I found out that I really did like all of it I might want to stay for alot longer. I don't really know how I would really react to switching with someone famous but what I do know is that it would a valuable experience. It would be one that I would take with me and one that would help me appreciate what I have.

Politics cont.

SENEY'S RESPONSE

People keep asking me who I would vote for, if I could that is. I tell them that I don't know, at least not yet. They then ask me to choose someone based on what I've heard about them. I still tell them that I don't know. How can I base a decision on just what I've heard? Half the things I heard were probably biased. That's why I'm indecisive at the moment. When I become more knowledgable about each candidate, I'll have more of an idea of who I would like to become the next president. To obtain the information I'm looking for, I am most likely to search on the web. These days, it's hard to find websites that aren't biased. That might be a tricky part when trying to find a good website. If you ask me who I want to win the election, well, I think you know my answer. But maybe in a couple of weeks I'll have a better idea of who I do want to win. Am I interested in what's going on with politics? Well, I'll soon find out.
If I could switch places with someone, just for a little while, I think would be with my mom. It would be fun to see a different perspective of myself, and I think it would change the way I talk to her. I deffinitly wouldnt want to permenantly switch though because thats a big chunk of my life that I would be missing. It would be cool to see how different people treat adults than kids and having to go to work and having responsibilities. I think it would help me prepare for my future life, just get a little taste of what life is like. And I know that sometimes im not always the nicest person to my mom and it would really be and eye opener to how I act. When I think her punishments are unfair they probably actually are fair and I think it would help me understand her perspective of things better. I dont know if it would be a fun expirence or not but I think it would be a good learning action.

this is my real answer thing... other one wasnt finishedd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =]

If i could switch ppaces with anyone in the world i would deffinatly have to say i would switch with snow white. Now i know your thinking... well its cause of this prince. Its not though. It would be nice to have a prince save your life by a kiss and you run off and live happily ever after but thats not why i really would want to be her. Id want to swtich because of those seven dwarfs and the little cabin 9n the woods, with all the happy animals frolicking around the cabin. Then when that mean old queen came in disguese in her cruel attempt to kill me with a poisend apple id take tha apple and put it in the pie i was currently making and then give it to her to take home. then shed die because she doesnt have a true love and wouldnt have the ability for her true love to kiss her.... duhhhhhh. See ive taken time to think about this.. losser i know. I would switch for about a month or so but i think if i stayed for much longer i would miss my family and friends to much. I love my friends and family and would be lost without them. Even though living in a enchanted woods with the sweetest dwarfs and happy animals all around would be fun, i would miss my family. The reason why i would want to be snow white is because shes always so happy
and innocent and her life just seems so perfect.

Once upon a time i got the opportunity to change places with snow white. She had to live in my life and i got to live in hers. The dwarfs and i had a funn time in the little cabin in the middle of the woods. Everyday the dwarfs would runn off to work singing there little songs and i would cook and clean around the house and have the friendly animals all around. Then at night they would come home and we would have a balst. then one day the wicked old queen tryed to give me a poisen apple trying to kill me.. thinking i was snow white. So i took the apple cut it up and made a pie out of it and then gave it to her to take home. So then she dies. Nobopdy would miss her anyway. esspecially that mirror. I mean seriously... how many times do you have to ask it whos the fairest one in all the land ... and every time its snow white. I mean is she brain dead or something... ITS SNOW WHITEE!! ughh. she buggs. me. So now that that the brain dead queen is gone i would live in the woods. It would be very fun!

Snow White
If I could be anyone in the world and live their life, I would be James Bond. I would enjoy joyriding in the new Aston Martin Vanquish with the optional missiles in the headlights. it also be a bad thing to have several nice looking women to fraternize in my sleeping chambers. As far as money goes I would good supply. First I would buy a suite penthouse in Manhatten and then I would buy a 75' black with silver trim yacht to go in a Las Angeles harbor. I would then buy a private jet that has a bar and plasmas tvs. I then would buy several cars including a black bentlly, a dark blue lamboguini, a white chevy suburban, a green sport bike. I would live a dream life if I were to become James Bond.

Who Am I? Seriously, I Forget

Choices, choices, choices. Who would I like to be, to be able to control their decisions, view their perspectives, and (hopefully) get to understand them a little bit better? Well, when I put it that way, I might have a few choices.
Of course, there are friends to take into account. It would be nothing short of enlightening to spend a day as my good friend Sarah Davis, who is by all accounts different from I, to say nothing more. I'm hoping that such an experience might start to peel away the layers of the enigma that is my quirky amigo, although I can't expect much results, seeing as how different we are. On a bigger scale, taking the place of in important historical figure would probably be just as productive - Bonaparte, perhaps? With me taking a walk in his relatively small shoes, Europe might have stayed together for a few more decades. I would've swept the floor at Waterloo, just by bringing out the French Imperial Guard to counter the lat flanking maneuvers of the Prussian cavalry, as Napolean should have. And I never would have even set foot in Russia, one of the most abysmal military operations in history. Trust me, things would have been different.

Switching Places

If I could switch places with anyone it would have to be...there are so many to choose from! I would want to switch places with Madeline Morizio for a couple days over the summer just because I want to swim her awesome pool. I would also like to switch places with Elizabeth Swann from "Pirates of the Caribbean". I would want to switch with her because I would so love to be a pirate! Elizabeth gets to hang out on a pirate ship and be with Captain Jack Sparrow!!!! I would mostly like to be her in the third movie because she is more of a pirate there. But I would only like to be her for a few weeks because I would probably get hurt or seasick or something.

I would also want to switch places with Adeline from a book I read when I was younger called Adeline Falling Star. She gets to go on an adventure with this really cool dog-although she does get sick and hurt and is running away-it would still be fun just to be her for the good parts of the adventure. Like when they are on the river and when she runs into the bear because that would be fun to experience, and I know that I would get out ok.

I really wouldn't want to change places with anyone for too long though because I would miss my life and my friends and family.
If I had the opportunity to switch places with any one I am unsure if I would or not. Switching lives would be a complete change. I would know nothing of the life I have now, the people, the experiences, or the emotions. I am unsure of whether or not such a change would be worth it. If I were to do such a thing though, I would switch places with Derek Jeter. Derek Jeter is a man of class, respect, hard work, and victory. Derek worked very hard, and was pushed his whole life, as a result he is now one of the best baseball players to ever play the game. He was a straight A student all through high school, even though he could have gotten bad grades, and still gone professional out of high school. He has always shown class on, and off of the field. He is gracious in both losing, and winning. Derek has dated many girls, and even though they have broken up they still like, and respect the man he is. He is very coutious, and a gentleman to all. He has great respect, and admiration towards all of the Yankee legends in which he meets. I would be Derek Jeter from his high school career, until the day he dies. He realizes there is more to life than baseball, and I believe he will do great things even when he does retire from the game. If I were he I would win many more world series, and continue to live the life he lives.

Stealing Rebecca's Disney Idea

(two seconds later before I figured out what I wanted to be, Rebecca goes, "OH MY GAWD. I'M GONNA BE SNOW WHITE." So... I'm borrowing her Disney idea. Hooray for sharing)

If I could switch places with anyone (there's a long list of people, but since I have to pick one...) I would be Alice in Wonderland. Why? Um, hellooooo. Best Disney movie everrrr. (next to the Jungle Book and Peter Pan. Well, no I take that back. Peter Pan wins first place. Then Alice. Then Jungle Book. Ohhh yeah) Kidding. Sort of. But Alice in Wonderland is like... an imaginary idol. I'm a hardcore dreamer. It's my passion. It's my career path. Alice does off in school and escapes to her magical land filled with mushrooms and cookies that make her grow or shrink. She makes a doorknob cry and flood a room.

I guess some of the movie might be a bit traumatizing to kids because there's some creepy things that happen... but I guess I would switch my wonderland around a bit. Probably instead of a Queen of Hearts... I would have a PRINCE OF HEARTS. I wouldn't have a King of Hearts because Kings are usually old, hairy and fat. Princes are like... Godly and overly attractive.

Next, about the Caterpillar that smokes his "pipe" and sits on a "mushroom". He's so mean to Alice. He barely helps her at all and is just this jerky Caterpillar. HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE A BUTTERFLY. (or something else... for Matt, Emily and Kelly. HEHEHE! ART CLASS IS FUN! :D<333) So instead, I would probably get a stick from the ground (even though it's ten feet bigger than me) and smack him in the forehead and yell something obscene, such as: "YOU'RE A POOP SMEAR!"

I wouldn't change the Cheshire Cat because he's probably one of the coolest characters in the whole entire movie. But maybe instead of trying to find answers for his questions, I would answer his questions with some fancy, fancy questions... and maybe I would name him Lorenzo. I wouldn't change the White Rabbit either because he's a bit OCD and just compulsive generally. I also think he suffers from major panic attacks that cripple him from doing his job. He's also kind of a freak and kind of creepy. He's one cool dude. His real name is Ecstasy... White Rabbit is just his stage name.

One day, while I was travelling through my wonderland, Lorenzo showed up out of nowhere and started sleeping in the middle of the path. "LORENZO!" I tried to yell to wake him up... but he didn't. He just purred, rolling over onto his stomach and slept as soundly as possible. Even though Lorenzo actually IS his name, he never responds. "You have to recognize my true person." He would tell me. "That person is not Lorenzo. I am the Cheshire Cat at heart... even though I am only he when the cameras are rolling. Way back when I was a cartoon." He's still a cartoon. We're ALL cartoons. This whole WORLD is a cartoon.
I kicked Lorenzo and shouted, "MR. CHESHIRE CAT, WAKE UP PLEASE!" He snorted and finally woke up from his Dreamless slumber. (Dreams in Wonderland do not exist. When you're living in a Dream, you only of reality.) He blinked, staring up at me.
"You were not supposed to come until tomorrow." He informed me, yawning and stretching. He stood up and smiled his grin that took place of the moon.
"What did you Dream about?" I asked the sky, knowing that he would still be there.
I heard him sigh. "Birds, again."
I started walking the rest of my journey and ignored the eyes that seemed to follow me. I let Lorenzo light my way and help me along. Twenty minutes later, we ran into Ecstasy, who--go figure--was freaking out because there was someone new. This new creature was oddly enough looking quite like my kind and had long, black hair. She frowned at me instead of smiled. "Who's this?" I asked Ecstasy.
"Says her name is Hazel." Ecstasy seemed to sputter. It was always hard to understand him on the journeys. He was always nervous to see the Prince of Hearts, the ultimate boss. Lover to none, intimidating to all.
"What's your business, Hazel?" Lorenzo asked. She didn't seem dazed at all that the moon was talking.
"I have come to find the Prince and ask him for a smile." She sighed. "I have none."
I realized we could not trust anyone new to our land, although I let her come along. We were all looking for something from the prince. Lorenzo; some dreams, Ecstasy; some new meds, Hazel; a smile, and I wanted a boyfriend. Is that so hard to ask?
When we reached the castle, we punched the buzzer an his voice came out fair and clear, "Who is there?"
Ecstasy started to shake like crazy. "It is I, Prince. Ecstasy."
"Who is with you?"
"Hazel, Alicah and Lorenzo." I said in a monotone. The prince did not phase me. I was not scared at all.
The doors slowly opened and we found him behind his curtain and on his throne. Pay every bit of attention to the man behind the curtain. The curtain dropped and revealed him in all his beautiful glory, perched uncomfortably on his throne. His hair was wavy-ish and swept into his eyes, blond and sleek. His eyes were like shining emeralds that flickered with interest when he looked at me. His beauty was hard to miss. "What do you want?" He asked, trying to keep his voice low so it rumbled.
"Ecstasy wants his meds." I said. "He needs them. He's like a freakin' earthquake." The Prince eyed Ecstasy. "Lorenzo," I started. Lorenzo clawed me. "Oh, excuse me. CHESHIRE CAT would like some Dreams. I would also like it if he had some Dreams so he'll stop tweeting at me like the dumb birds he Dreams about." Lorenzo laughed awkwardly as the Prince eyed him. "Hazel wants a smile," Hazel frowned. "And I, dear Prince, would like a boyfriend. In reality, there isn't any available boys that catch my interest. Even in WONDERLAND, the land of WONDERS for crying out loud, has NO boys WHAT SO EVER." I sighed as I finished my rant.
In a snap of his fingers, the Prince summonded some Dreams for Lorenzo, a beautiful smile for Hazel, and some new meds for Ecstasy. I did not get anything. "What's the deal, Princey?" I cried out. "Everyone gets the things they want except for ME?"
"I'm still going to give you what you want." He smiled at me. This time, he was not trying to make his voice sound thunderous. "You have been the only person who is not intimidated or afraid of me. I have been wanting a girlfriend of my own. And you, sweet Alicah... is the girl I chose."
So then we spent the rest of our days in the castle together. We married to be Queen and King of Hearts (and Wonderland), making Ecstasy and Lorenzo our lords and best friends. The prince and I had lots of beautiful babies that liked to pull Lorenzo's tail.

Kim Posibble

I would want to be Kim Possible! I would switch places with kimmayyy because she has a BFF Ron and i'd get to meet roofus. I would want fight off danger and kick some evil bootay. I would have red hair and see how that works out for me . Also, I would have annoying twin brothers but i could deal with that for the week which i would be her. I would like to experience haveing the fighting skills and perfect timing that she has. She is also very sneaky and outgoing. She's my Idol.... not really but it would be cool to be her for a week!

I would also want to try out being Harry Potter. Obviously because he has magic powers and is so awesome. He has lived through so much disaster and is very adventurous. He also has a cool British accent which would be fun.

Story:

One day i was sleeping my beeper went off and i said " What's the sich" and i found that Peter kiley and Kyle Gissiewics had a secret lab forming in the Appalachian Mountains! So i hiked up the mountain with Ron and roofus untill i spotted the green smoke coming out the chimney of their "secret" lab. I broke through the titanium doors, Double back flipped twistie turned around the lasers and there i saw peter picking his booga's and feeding them to kyle.

As kyle sang:

" this is how you do it
pick your nose and chew it
if you don't like the flavaa
give it to your neighbaa
It you don't like the taste
then put it in the waste"

then i karate chopped kyle's head off and curb stomped peters head then i tied their wrist and brought them to the local Sheriff Madi Worden.

Who knows what she did with them.. but i never saw their faces again.

ps. Kyle, Peter and Madi helped me write this

Politics... hmmm

SENEY'S RESPONSE

Honestly, I haven't been following along with the news regarding candidates and the New Hampshire primary. Yes, I do feel bad about it. I know I really should, but I've been SO incredibly busy lately. I do plan on reading up on the candidates running for president. I know I can't vote yet, but I still want to know the people that might become president. I want to know how they view different situations going on nation wide and world wide. With my dad being involved in politics for about two years, I have changed the way I look at politics. I now realize the importance of knowing and understanding what's happening within either my molecular town and my humongous country.
To Be continued...

Who I would like to be...

If I could choose I would want to be myself. I don't really want to be any one else but myself. Though at rare times get in deep dark trouble and I wish I could be someone else for a split second but other than that I love being myself. I am a pretty ordinary girl that doesn't need anything special so being myself is the best thing for me. I think people have to value themselves first before they can value others. If people don't like themselves then they should fix it or try to patch it up in some way before they value others or any thing else. People who want to be some one else are usually not completely happy with themselves. changing yourself is the best way to be happy if you don't like yourself. So I think people should stop dreaming and start changing.

being in somebody elses shoes

Even though living in a enchanted woods with the sweetest dwarfs and happy animals all around. continue this after lunchh <33
If i could switch with anybody, whether they be real or fake, i would choose to switch with Ronald McDonald. I mean come on, he is the Mayor of Cheeseville, and rules the world from a secret volkswagon hidden in the past. Cheeseville is the place where all the world's fast food comes from. Cheeseville is a secluded place, and the only way to get the inhabitants to our fast food chains is through Cheeseville traps in Canadia. When the occasional hamburger or chicken nugget wanders too close, they get sucked into our world. They then get tossed into the fryers. Think about it for a moment. The hamburgers are like the average citizens, they do all of the hum-drum jobs in Cheeseville. They are the construction workers, building the paperbags that all of the other fast foods live in. They also are the janitors, teachers, craftsmen, as well as all of the other boring jobs. The hambugers have only one source of fun, going to Grease Bars, where they consume much grease, the alchololic beverage of Cheeseville. The Big Mac is the supervisor of the hamburger underlings, who are the lowest class. The chicken nuggets are the middle class, and own pre-fab cartons in suburban areas to live. However many chicken nuggets you get in the house is how many family members there are. And for entertainment, they have dipping sauce hot tubs to relax in. The chicken nuggets work for the Chicken Selects, who are the CEOs of all of the big chicken nugget companies. And above all are the Fillet-o-Fish, the highest class of all. They are the successful inventors and investors of Cheeseville, who control the flow of salt, the currency of choice among the citizens of Cheeseville. The Fish McDippers are their spoiled children. And, since there has to be celebrities, the drinks take that role. The juices and milk are the minor celebrities, and the soft drinks are the major stars. But the milk shakes are the international super-stars, known throughout Cheeseville. The french fries are like the KGB, they keep everything running smooth in Cheeseville. They come with every meal, just to make sure that the radical salads, that migrated from the Wendy Republic arent disrupting the peace. The head of the French Fries is the Big and Tasty, who watches every corner of Cheeseville. The Onion Nuggets are the outcasts of the Cheeseville, because no one ever liked them. Hahaha! Maybe someday ill rule Cheeseville, from my secret volkswagon in the past...

My life as Jim Carey

If I could switch places with anyone real or fake it would have to be Jim Carey. Jim Carey is a really hilarious actor. I would switch places with Jim Carey because Jim Carey is a really funny actor and it would be interesting to be a star or celebrity for a day. I would specifically pick some time whenever The Truman Show, was made. That is the saddest movie that I think was ever made. I would be Jim Carey for an eternity. I would be him because he has an awesome career and probably will for the rest of his life. Okay so here it goes....

My life as Jim Carey

9:00pm- January 10, 2008
"Hi Mom" Lindsey said
"Hi Lindsey" Her mother said
"Mom if you could be anyone in the world, who would it be?"
"Probably Ric Flair, Why do you ask?" Lindsey's mother said
"Oh, because that's what my English teacher asked me, well anyways I would be Jim Carey." Lindsey said
"That's nice. now go to bed" Lindsey's mother said as she turned off the light.
"Okay" Lindsey said
Wake up........ Wake up.............. Time for work Jim.

Work, what do you mean, work? I am only fourteen years old

Are you all right, Jim? I think when you hit your head on the "sky" in the set-up for the movie The Truman Show, you were knocked out and can't remember anything. Well, anyways you have to get up. Today is January 4, 1997.

"Rise and shine and bring out the glory, glory..." Brian, Jim's manager was singing while he was walking down the hallway.

"I better get up and figure out what's going on". Lindsey walks over to a mirror and See's someone that's not her. She saw a partly beard, bushy eyebrows, brown hair that was silky, a man's face, and the biggest transformation from a girl to a man.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH............" "I'm a man" Brian came running in and said

"Well, I hope so, you have only been one for your whole life so far" Now hurry up and get dressed, we are going to be late, the big man won't be happy" Lindsey sat there puzzled and wondered "who's the big man?"

"Okay well, anyways Jim hurry up" Brian exited the room muttering something Jim couldn't understand.

"I better get ready, I can do this, I'm a man..... wait not I'm, not what am I talking about. Me a man, my mother's always said I was a girl, did she lie. No, she couldn't have I'm not a man I'm a girl or am I a man?"

"JIM, JIM, JIM, let's go right now" Lindsey got ready and left the house they arrived one minute before the big man did and Brian was happy.

"Okay, my actors and actresses today we are going to shoot the scene with Truman and Marty talking about what had fallen from the sky".

Jim go get your outfit on. "Me, I'm fourteen years old and I'm a girl that is going to school in Averill Park, New York, and up from my house is the store, Bubie's."

"Really funny Jim and I'm a girl that has girl problems and like a boyfriend and female features". All of the actors and actresses laughed hysterically and went to go change for the scene.

"Really, Jim are you all right. You woke up really weird and that's creeping you out. As your manager I have the right to know what is going on and why you are acting this way." Brian said and sat there and was waiting for an answer.

"Oh, nothings wrong actually I am quite fine and I'm just all scattered because of that fall'. Lindsey said and started thinking. "I have to get through this and I will sort it out later. BE A MAN.... WELL WOMAN.

7:00 PM

RING...RING...

"Hello this is Lindim. I mean Jim." Lindsey said on the phone to the mysterious caller.

"Okay, well hi Jim. I called because my wife's being mean again." The mysterious person said

"Wait. Who are you?" Lindsey asked

"Jim are you all right? I'm Cole, your brother. I'm married to Lynn from my work and we have three kids, Ron, DJ, and Wade." Cole said

"Oh, I knew you were my brother and that you were married. But go on" Lindsey said

"Lynn's kicking me out again for the twentieth time and we have only been married for a year. Well, here comes dragon lady as we speak, Lynn's a typical woman." and Cole hung up the phone.

Lindsey held onto the phone and thought about what Cole said" Lynn's a typical woman". "I can't worry about that comment right now." Lindsey recaptured what she had collected in a day. She collected that she was a man, an actor, has at least one brother with kids who has a dragon for a wife and was kicked out of the twenty times in a year. "What a poor marriage."

RING..RING..

"Hi. Jim speaking."

"Hi, this is Heath your brother and I have to tell you something that I am furious about." Heath said.

"Hi, well go on." Lindsey said

"Okay, well my son Finlay now wants to be called Hornswoggle." Heath screamed

"Oh what a.......... tragedy." Lindsey said very cautiously as to not upset Heath even more.

"I know it is. well anyways I called to ask you if you could watch Hornswoggle, I mean Finlay Thursday?" Heath asked in a emotional tone.

"Oh sorry I can't. My manager Brian is waving my schedule in my face. According to him on Thursday I have The Truman Show premiere. Are you doing anything Wednesday though?" Lindsey asked.

"No, I'm not. Actually I'm free for the day. Why do you want to go to lunch?" Heath asked surprise. It's not everyday that you get to have lunch with a celebrity.

"Sure, why not Wednesday at noon is good. Well, Bye." Lindsey hung up the phone only to hear Brian yelling at him. Brian said that there is no time for a lunch on Wednesday. Lindsey ignored him and went to bed.

Well, Wednesday came but no Heath showed at the restaurant. Lindsey called Heath back using her caller ID memory. Heath had said that Hornswoggle was sick and he couldn't show. Lindsey went back home and had lunch alone in her bedroom. Thursday came and the premiere was happening tonight. Following the premiere was a party.

"Remember Jim, don't be open at the party tonight. I mean don't mix your blood with a-l-c-o-h-o-l- okay/ Because we all know how you get."Brian said in a rather exasperated tone.

"Okay Brian, but what party are you talking about?" Lindsey asked

"There's a party tonight. Anyways hurry up and get dressed the limo should be arriving in one hour. So, hurry." Brian said and walked out of the room.

The premiere was a success and the party followed right after. At the party, there were many girls and boys which means TROUBLE because she's a girl so she likes men but to everyone else she's a boy and should like girls.

"Hi Jim, my name's Kate and you can call me at home anytime you want" Kate said and she walked away.

Lindsey was looking around at everyone when she realized Brian was there. She looked at Brian in a way she never did before. His figure was like Tom Cruise but his hair was definitely like George Clooney's. He had a slight beard and an awesome color eyes. Lindsey realized something. Lindsey realized that she loves him. Lindsey was thinking when Kate came back.

"Hi Jim. Will you go out with me?" Kate asked in a whiny way

"No" Lindsey said sternly

"Why?" said Kate. Kate had asked him five times and Lindsey blurted out...

"Your not my type. I love men!" Lindsey said. Brian came running over and said "well folks we all know that Jim didn't stay away from the alcohol tonight. Let's take him upstairs. So, Brian and another guy took Jim upstairs and put him a bed to sleep off his liquor that was drank. Before Lindsey slept, she thought about her life as the famous actor Jim Carey. Lindsey liked being Jim Carey and had fallen deeply in love with a guy that she sees everyday. She came to realize maybe this transformation wasn't that bad. Then she fell asleep. When she woke up she was Lindsey Sullivan, a fourteen year old girl that goes to Averill Park High School.

The End

If I could switch places...

If I could change into something for a day, I wouldn't choose to be a person...it would be boring. I would want to be an animal, or a cartoon character. Hmm......I would be Captain Crunch. I would get to live on a ship, and go around and shrink people. I would get to eat yummy cereal all day and I would get to sail on a sea of milk (prefereably chocolate milk). Here is my story......

One Saturday afternoon, Madeline woke up and decided to have Captain Crunch for breakfast. When she looked at the cereal box, she saw that there was a prize inside! "Hooray!" she said, "A prize!"
Madeline turned the cereal box upside down and all of the cereal fell to the floor, along with the prize.
The prize looked like a jack-in-the-box. Madeline wound the handle on the side of the box, and when the box opened, she got sucked inside the box by a magical force.
Madeline hit the hard floor of a wooden ship. "I wonder where I am..." she wondered. So, Madeline began to explore. She came to a door that said "Chocolate" on the front. She opened it, and she found a machine. This machine was spewing out Choco-Crunch! "Mmmmm..." Madeline said.
Next, Madeline came to a door that said "Peanut Butter." She opened that door and found a mochine that was spewing out Peanut-Butter Crunch! "Mmmmmm..." Madeline said.
Next, she came to a door that said "Crunch Berries." She opened the door, and there was a machine spewing out crunch berries. "Mmmmmmm..." Madeline said.
Finally, she came to a door that said "Captain Crunch." "Hmmm.." said Madeline. She quietly opened the door, and she walked into a large empty room. "Hello?" she called, "Helloooo??" No answer.
On the wall, the only things hanging were a series of pictures of ships. Under each picture, there was a date. "These must be the ships of Captain Crunch!" Madeline said. "No way...." Madeline thought. She ran to the mirror and looked at herself. But she didn't see Madeline. She saw Captain Crunch!
"Sweeeeeeeeet!" exclaimed Madeline.
Madeline spent her whole day crunch-a-tizing anyone who crossed her path. She came across her best friend Katie Scott. She crunch-a-tized Katie and when Katie found her balance on the ship, she said "Hello, Captain Crunch. My name is Katie-" "I know what your name is, Katie Scott." said Madeline, as Captin Crunch. "Uhh......" said Katie. "Don't worry, Katie. I'm Madeline, your best friend!" "Uh-huh....." she said. Then she screamed and jumped off of the ship's edge. She landed softly on her feet on the sidewalk where she was walking home from school when she was crunch-a-tized. "That was weird..." Katie said.
Meanwhile, all of the other people on the ship were wondering what was going on, too. Then, they all jumped off the side of the ship, and landed softly on their feet where they were crunch-a-tized.
"I guess I'd better get going, too." said Madeline. Just as she was about to jump off the ship, Madeline felt herself split in two. Suddenly, Captain Crunch was standing beside her. "Wow, hi, captain." Madeline waved to Captain Crunch and jumped off the ship. She landed softly in her kitchen, with a bowl of Captain Crunch in her hand.

Legs, The Ramparts, and Saddam Hussein

If I were to switch places with anybody... Hm... Burrito Man. Why you ask? Why not. Burrito Man is all powerful, and can have a ton of fun. I'd probably only be him for about a day, because I'd be delicious, and eat my legs. Here's the story.
I woke up this morning, and the sun was gone. I turned on some music to start my day. I realized suddenly I was in a different place when the music I heard was country. I jolted out of bed, and realized that I was leaking. Not in the sick grotesque way, but in the delicious greasy way. I realized that was no longer a human. I was ground beef in a flour tortilla. I cavorted with joy, because I heard the stories of Burrito Man, and I knew that he could do nearly anything. But then I found out the hard way that I couldn't fight crime (crime being my only weakness). This obviously made me rather depressed, so I began to wander the streets looking for a purpose. The time was 11:00 AM. After a few more hours I became hungry and I began to make for home. When I got there I was shot by my father for breaking into the house. It still smarts. If only he knew that I was Burrito Man. An hour passed and I was still starving. And then the thought came to me. I'm Beef! So my self destructive behaviors began. I ate my feet. I tasted exquisite. I needed more. So I sat on the sidewalk until 5:00 PM eating myself, until I had no legs remaining. This was a pretty upsetting reality. I dragged my carcass to the hospital/auto shop. I did not receive a warm welcome. I was leaking to much on the carpet. The surgeon grease monkeys poured a gallon or gasoline on my Mexican torso, and lit me on fire. After watching me burn for roughly 42.4 seconds, they began to feel more sorry for me, and doused me with water. They kicked me out onto the street, exclaimed "Good Riddance!", and hung a 'NO BURRITO'S WELCOME" sign. The sign they sported began to make me question equality in the USA,and I became even more depressed. I dragged my burnt beef body to the drug store, and purchased enough sleeping pills to OD on. The time was 11:59. As I began pouring all the medication into my body, I found myself in my real bed, legs and all. Sadly I had retained the ability to leak a greasy substance. I went on to become a hotshot stockbroker, and lived happily ever after, mainly Peter Parker, but always Burrito Man!

Trading Places!!! still not finished

Wow! I would LOVE to trade places with someone for a day. The only problem is who I would trade places with. Here are some of my ideas:
1) Hermione or some other friend of Harry and Ron's at Hogwarts! (I love
Harry Potter!!!)
2) Stephanie Horton (so I could finally see what her basement looks like).
3) A bird, so I can fly, which I fervently want to be able to do with every pore and cell of my being.
4) Any ultra-famous celebrity (so I could see what being famous is like)
5) Juno from "Juno", because her best friend Leah is incredibly funny and cool, her co-best friend-turned-lover-turned-boyfriend is indubitably and unequivocally awesome and sweet and cool in the truest meaning of the word, and because her dad and step-mom are also extremely great characters.
6) A pirate because for some reason the thought of being a pirate appeals to me in a big way.

Well, since I cannot possibly decide, I will do several mini-stories. #1!

One dark and gloomy night, Kit was lying on her bed, pondering the reason for existence, meaning of life, and spirituality when she heard a knock upon her door. The coat-hanger rattled on the door and the noise was complemented nicely by a dramatic flash of electricity through the air, which seemed to radiate through her windows and into her body. "Wha-at?" she yelled in athe direction of the door, assuming it was one of her brothers, come to ask to borrow something or to summon her for dinner. The door swung upon slightly. "I'm coming, I'll be down in a minute," she said, her voice laced with boredom. Very unusually, however, the door opened more. "May I enter?" asked the rumbling tenor.
Kit sat bolt upright. "Wait. Who's there? Shay?..." but the door opened before she could finish her thought. There, standing in her doorframe, silhouetted against the pitch-blackness, was a figure she did not recognize. Tall and strong-looking, with long, thick tresses sprouting from under his cap, his upper lip, and his chin, his shockingly emerald velvet suit was the last element of his appearance Kit noticed.
Usually in times of great shock or stress, Kit found that her nose would itch and she would grow wide-eyed, soon changing to blinking rapidly. she was already in the nose-rubbing, eye-blinking stage by the time she finally found her voice. "Who are you?" she inquired, her voice quivering and squeaky. "I hope I have not frightened you," the strange man replied, smiling ingratiatingly and seating himself in her wicker chair in a most affable fashion. "My name is Albus Dumbledore. We have been watching your progress for quite some time now, and have recently determined that you are, most certainly, magical. Please forgive us for not having contacted you earlier, but it is of utmost importance that we did not act wrongly, as people usually do when acting with haste."
Kit raised her eyebrows. Staying very still, she yelled, "Moooom??"
"Do not worry, my dear, I have already spoken to your parents. They are -- well -- taken care of, for the time being, they themselves are totally fine and view this situation as such. Now, I have come to ask you if you would like to spend some time at Hogwarts -- a school for wizards and witches, you being one of the latter. Just to try out, of course; we always have some late-entrants who prefer to opt out of our manner of life. However, most of our Muggle-born" -- "
What?" thought Kit -- "...entrants have been very successful. Some of the more famous figures are Harry Potter, who would be in the same year as you, and Lord V-- er, well, several others as well."
"Hah!" Kit screamed, slightly hysterically. "You just -- just come in here, drug my parents, I don't have a clue who the heck you are or what asylum you escaped and you're trying to spirit me away and telling me I'm
magical? You could be a child-molesting drug lord for all I know, and now you're trying to -- I -- telling me I'm magical and -- You better watch out, I'm going to call the police, and I've got a dog downstairs so fearsome I'm surprised he hasn't already ripped your limbs off, I'm going to get him right n--"
"SILENCE," commanded the man who called himself Dumbledore. From one of his coat pockets he extracted a short, slender stick of wood. He gave it a casual flick, and nothing happened. This gave Kit hope that perhaps this strange man was not as dangerous as his previous behavior suggested. She sneered at him and opened her mouth to speak, when he calmly informed her to look down. Keeping her jaw set and chin level, she moved her eyes to glance briefly at where her bed was a moment ago. She looked back up at him. "Yeah? So? --" ....where her bed was...She looked down....a moment ago...her bed was right there...where had she misplaced ...her bed?

Dumbledore smiled. "Are you ready to listen now?"
Swallowing with nervousness, Kit nodded dumbly, eyes wide with wonder.
"Good, then," Dumbledore replied. "Let's start at the very beginning."

I will probably add more to this one later, but if not, well, just imagine.
#2!

Kit awoke for school at her normal time on a normal Monday in the excessively normal month of January. "Uggh," she groaned with sleepiness, and reached over to her night-table to push the snooze button on her alarm clock. Her hand sliced through empty air. Huh? she thought disorientedly as she sat up, her mind still clouded in a groggy haze.
...Where did her night-table go? Looking around, she realized that her room had, mysteriously, rearranged itself during the night.
One extremely confusing hour later, Kit was stumbling around the hallways of APHS, frantically looking for a tallish brown-eyed freshman with a short brown hair. Already, Kit had attempted to find some answers from Mrs. Horton, who acted very concerned all morning, starting when Kit inadvertently let out a bloodcurdling screech when she had found the bathroom and looked in the mirror. For Kit had found she looked rather different indeed. In fact, she resembled Stephanie Horton. She managed to convince Stephanie's mother that she was just feeling out of sorts because she hadn't slept well, and it was a relief to be in school. She had accidentally waved to several people who apparently didn't know Stephanie, and several people had said hello to her that she didn't know, and she was also extremely concerned about finding the real Stephanie before she had to go to Spanish class. Praying that Stephanie had had the good sense to come to school, Kit rushed into the library, her shorter-than-normal frame feeling awkward and discombobulated, as she was used to walking with the gait of a 5'8'' person rather than one several inches shorter.
Thank the Lord, Kit thought ecstatically, rushing up to herself, who was seated next to Bo at one of the round library tables, looking odd and totally freaked out. "Hey, uh, Kit," she said tentatively. Stephanie stared back through Kit's eyes, wary. Hmm, thought Kit, what can I say to let her know it's me? Suddenly, a flash of inspiration! "Eighty-seven," Kit blurted out. Stephanie's eyes lit up. "What's going on?" she cried desperately. "I don't know!" Kit said back. "I just woke up like this!"
They slowly came to realize the fact that Bo, Matt, Alison, Tyler, Robert, Samantha, Janna, and several others were all staring at them rather curiously. Dun dun dun.......The End. (I know, lame ending, I ran out of inspiration.)

#3 -- well, birds don't really have very verbal trains of thought, so I'll skip to
#4 -- nah, skipping this one too...OK, time for
#5, but I'm not in the mood, so I guess I'll just do #6 and be done with it.

It was a fair day on the good pirate ship Adoria, and a fair wind caressed the sun-painted faces of the crew. Only the younger, fresher, purer faces showed their faces to the raw atmosphere that morning, however; the more hardened, salty sailors were holed up under the floor in the cabin, gulping their coffee and scowling with grievances of the weather, the captain, the ship, the crew, and the mates, although most were, in actuality, dearly beloved. One girl sat in the crow's nest unnecessarily, squinting at the sun pugnaciously and clutching a coffee-filled mug with a fierce grip. She drained the last from her cup and sat, staring thoughtfully and savoring the Caribbean souvenir from their latest commercial affair, the raid of a fine trading center of Jamaica. Quite abruptly, up she stood, swinging over to the netting with great agility and touching the smooth lumber of the deck with her toes in a matter of seconds. She was just returning the mug to the cook when she heard the captain's familiar cry.
"All hands on deck," the masterful shipman cried, rallying the tired crew. The girl skipped gaily into the mast and leaned on it heavily, refreshed by the cool air but still groggy from five and a half hours of sleep. She smiled at the cabin boy and fixed her attention to the captain, who had opened his mouth to bellow instructions.
"All ye pathetic sailors, get your sorry bottoms up here, now!" Captain McCanter screamed, shaking the last few sailors from their hideouts below the deck. Their whining was silenced with one look from the first mate, a fearsome fellow. At almost six and a half feet in height, the muscled, dark African struck fear in all the crew.
"You pathetic landlubbers were too busy slumberin' below the deck last night to bother noticing the goings-on above deck in my cabin," the Captain growled. "Yes, sirs, a mutiny occurred not three hours before you thought to wake. Jolly Jackson, who is substantially less jolly now, is currently clapped in irons and holed up below in the brig. Before we threw him down there to await his execution-at-sea with the rats, he was kind enough to share with us the names of a few of his low-down, stinkin', traitor comrades!"
A stir went through the crowd. A mutiny? The girl peered about, looking for perspiring faces, widened eyes, twitching hands, shallow breaths, anything to betray true anxiety, but she found none; only more faces like hers, curious and wondering. A sudden realization came to the girl. Had there really been more crew members involved, or did Jackson lie?...
"Snake Stonewall!" yelled the captain, and the higher-ranked officers fell upon the bewildered ship's cook; his terrified screams reverberated off the stairwell walls on his way down to join Jackson. The crew remained silent and apprehensive, muted by the captain's glares, until the officers returned.
"Serpentine Kulinsky!" was heard, and the master archer was taken.
"Crimson Highcroft!"  "Abbah Okoma!"  "Asia Ling Chu!"  "Edward MacVansworth!" and
"Kit Collins!"
"What?" the girl screamed, not unlike the others whose names had been called. "A thousand curses on Jackson, the traitor, the liar, the filthy ocean-demon! I did no such participation in the mutiny against the good captain!" Her voice was ignored as she was roughly pulled, kicking and screaming, to the brig.
All the so-called traitors, restrained with iron, could do naught but croon threats and curses at the pale-faced mutineer, who was, perhaps, even more frightened than they.
Too soon for Kit's, Jackson's, or anyone else's likings, they were dragged back up to the deck, where they could see six rope nooses hanging from the mast.
"Crud," thought Kit.
Their shouted alibis and pleas for mercy fell on the deaf ears of the narrow-minded, foolish captain. Try as she might, Kit could not escape her burly captors, and was soon standing on a box with the rope around her neck. She was still shouting when someone kicked the box out from under her feet. She fell and fell and fell and fell and fell...
and landed in her seat in English class.
"Kit!" hissed Sean, whose chair was next to hers. "Wake up!"
"Oh, snap," Kit said groggily. "I guess stayed up too late last night finishing that post for English."

The End (finally!!!)

switching places

If I could switch places with anyone I would switch with a singer or performer. I am not really sure who I would want to be but I like Taylor Swifts music alot so I may want to switch with her. Also she is in high school too, but she is in twelth grade. So we would have a little in common of being in high school. Also one of my best friends name is Taylor too so that is another thing we have in common. I can't sing that good but it looks really fun being on stage and having everyone come. It must feel cool to know that you have a sold out concert because everyone came to watch you. Also, being a performer you can be anyone you want to be for that movie or play. But then go back to being yourself again. I would probually stay switched until I felt like I wanted to go back to the way I was. If I was a singer I would probually travel all over for concerts so I wouldn't be in one place. I would have alot of concerts and I could bring anyone I wanted to bring to it too. But if I was a performer I could be anywhered depending on where the movie is filming.
