First they came for...

There are many minorities in society today. These groups are often ignored and stepped on by other people. One person who stood up for a minority when no one else would was Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird. He supported Tom Robinson, a black man, during a time of racism where they were looked down on. Tom was being charged for raping a white woman when he clearly didn't do it. People would normally just say he was guilty and turn their heads the other way.Atticus changed this by becoming Tom's lawyer and defending him the best he could. I look up to Atticus Finch because he did everything he could to help other people despite the critism from his neighbors. He showed a lot of courage, bravery, and selflessness. In the end many people actually looked up to him for what he did.
